Life as a Ninja

Before we get into the nitty gritty details of the plot there are a few details of the way of ninja life

Ninja missions are usually classified into ranks and they are the following:

D
These are the simplest missions, they usually involve baby sitting or pulling weeds for a villager. They are usually reserved for Genin. They usually don’t involve leaving the village.

C
C ranks are a bit tougher than a D rank, and are reserved for Genin and Chunin. C ranks are usually escort missions or delivery missions to places outside the village. Although they are a bit tougher, enemy ninja don’t show up so they are still pretty simple.

B
This is where things start to get tougher. These are usually retrieval missions or escort missions outside the village and enemy ninjas do show up for the most part. These are reserved for Higher level Chunin or Jounin.

A
Now this is probably the toughest rank aside from S. These usually involve traveling to faraway places to capture criminals, raid criminal houses, and escorting criminals. Enemy ninja ALWAYS show up on these types of missions. Ninja DO get killed on these missions so they are usually reserved for Jounin.

S
The final rank of mission. The top, high class missions are usually this rank. They usually involve the village’s safety from enemy ninja or spy missions. Capturing high class assasins is also on the list of these missions so these missions are reserved ONLY for the ANBU Black Ops.

Do you understand? You do? That’s good. There are also several different types of villages within the ninja nations

The Village Hidden in the Leaves
This village is where you live, it’s a peaceful place to live and is a pretty good place overall. They are also the sole superpower village within the Ninja Nation

The Village Hidden in the Sand
Similar to the leaf, the village hidden in the sand is a semi-good place to live, aside from bad weather. Several good ninjas are from here, the Leaf and Sand have good relations with each other and have an alliance going…although there has been some argument between the Kage’s recently…

The Village Hidden in the Mist

A village stained with tragedy. The Mist village is very bloody nation, and is torn up by the underground drug wars and mafia so they have trained their ninja to be cold hard killers. Their version of the ninja graduation ceremony is a last man standing sort of deal. They do NOT have good relations with the leaf and are jealous of its peaceful ways. The Leaf and Mist have been carefully trying to avoid war with each other for years but the animosity is finally boiling over and there have been several ninja skirmishes over the past few months
The Village Hidden within in the Earth

The Earth village is a village that is primarily agricultural. Many of the villagers are farmers though, the earth can be considered a village that keeps to itself. It hates to get involved in wars and would like to keep the peace although recently since the Mists invasion the two have been on hostile terms,

The Village Hidden in the Clouds
Not to much is known about this country, it’s never been involved in any wars and keeps itself isolated from the world.

Now there are also several groups of smaller villages that are called sub-villages. They are too small to be recognized as countries and are often left out of world affairs, conquered, or fall off the face of the earth due to famine, anarchy, and depression. Two of which that are worth mentioning are:

The Village Hidden in the Sound
A village that appeared only recently and has been causing some trouble for the Leaf village. Many of the new ninja are attacking Leaf Ninja and bear a grudge against the leaf village for no reason. They specialize in using sound for attacks.

The Village Hidden in the Snow
A small village that has been ravaged by the drug wars and has virtually disappeared off the face of the earth when it was raided by the leaf. The village is considered a ghost town now but when it was existed the ninja’s used ice to manipulate their attacks. Not much else was known about the Village Hidden in the Snow, outside from rumors of course.

Now for the nitty gritty details of the plot:
Congratulations, it’s almost time to graduate from the ninja academy and become a full-fledged Genin! Exciting, right? You’d better be ready because being a ninja is going to be a fun, exciting experience!

Well, it would be, if the war wasn’t on the brink of a third world war. The 5 major nations are no longer getting along with each other. Every nation has some grudge against another nation, and with the outbreak of drugs things have only gotten worse. It’s only a matter of time before the next great war breaks out and this time it would be a free for all. Everyone would be slaughtered.

And no matter how much you want to help you cannot, because you aren’t even a Genin yet. So you can only sit idly by and watch as everything is beginning to fall apart. The sad part is some people wish not to acknowledge the fact that a war is looming on the horizon and if something is not done quickly many people will be needlessly slaughtered.

But your only Genin, so you can’t do anything but worry about the next childish mission you go on and getting along with your team mates. Good luck, you’ll need it ^_^

Characters

Character 1
A ninja that mysteriously transferred one week before the ninja exam. Her past is unknown to most and she only has managed to make friends with Character 2.

Character 2
A ninja from the Village hidden in the Sound. She too transferred shortly before the exam and is very social. She’s a bit of a ditz and likes to play the hero. Her intentions are well but often times her plans are ridiculous and never work. She doesn’t get along to well with character 3.

Character 3
A mysterious character that always has a childish smile on her face. She claims to be from the Land of Snow and says she has a special bloodline trait to prove it but has never actually shown any of her special ice jutsue off, so many people think she’s lying. Regardless of her childish smile she actually has an evil aura about her and is childishly cruel. Many people are actually quite scared of her.

Name: Akitla Akuvijarjuak

Nickname: Akita

Gender: Female

Age: 14

Appearance: Almost seemingly fashioned out of porcelain her skin color is as white as snow, and stands at a tall 5”6. Although looking like a perfect porcelain doll many people become quite scared when they look into her emerald green eyes which are often filled with a look of amusement but on a deeper level a childish cruelty so much so that people say that you turn to stone while looking straight into her eyes. Some people often claim to see an evil aura around her, when in truth it’s their own paranoia (mostly). Despite being so intimidating to most people, she is quite slender only weighing in at about 105. Her hair is extremely long and a golden blonde color.

Clothing: Akita often wears a gothic Lolita style dress which is a deep midnight black with white frills around the sleeves and neck. She also wears a black gothic head band that is made of satin. Despite how she looks she is a D-cup breast size but manages to skill fully hide it and make it seem she only a small b-cup within the dress, (no one really knows how she does this). Clothing wise she wears boots that cover up to just above her ankles and are red with a black outline.

Personality: It is hard to describe Akita’s personality in one paragraph, she is someone who finds amusement in loud noises but also has a childish cruelty about her. Akita is someone who always has an amused smile on her face, she finds delight in all the noise around her and the idiocy but when asked about this she’ll look at the person, smile, and say “The fact that I want to smash their idiotic faces in makes me smile,” because of this she doesn’t have to many friends because of her scary statements, although if someone was to actually stop and get to know her one would see she is quite a compassionate person. Because Akita spends most of the time to herself, she doesn’t have to much experience in managing the whole friend thing and often doesn’t understand and when a person asks her to do something with them and is prone to a version of cultural shock.

Akita also has a cruel sense of humor. She takes delight in making people think she is in some sadistic cult and purposely will go out of her way to do so. Many people claim to see an evil aura around her when she makes odd and often frightening statements, which Akita finds amusing. When she is angry she glares at the person and begins saying, “kolkolkolkol” which is often the term for “slaughter, or to impale,” or often seems to serves as a warning bell like, “Cut that shit out!”

Overall Akita is pretty easy going and naïve who can come off as intimidating without saying a word even with a gentle smile and disposition always on her face (which may be the reason why there’s always an aura of dread and doom hanging around her). She is also not malicious in any way just insane from the traumas of seeing her whole family mercilessly slaughtered before her eyes, and even though people may see her as cruel, she herself, is not aware of this fact. She also, despite being underage, loves vodka.

History: Born in the icy village in the snow, to the Yohaku clan, Akita was to be the next head of her family. All Akita ever knew growing up was snow and ice. She had never seen spring a day in her life, and often wish to see green grass or blue and pink flowers but still, the land of snow had its charm, there were certain flowers that ONLY bloomed in the land of snow, so overall Akita thought it was a happy place, even if snow never left the ground. At age 5 she discovered her bloodline trait, a trait that was ultimately linked with her emotions. She could skillfully freeze anything into a beautiful sculpture or into a horrific ice prison, she also discovered she could use ice as a weapon and using her ability could turn her fingers into ice-like claws. She practiced her bloodline trait tirelessly, and was bound determined to master it and show it off to her one sole friend, a boy whom she began to secretly have a crush on as time passed.

Under the surface of her happy lifestyle home problems would surface every so often, her father gradually became into an angry being and every so often would snap at the most pointless of things. Akita recalled a time when her father brutally through a sharp shard of class at her mother which stabbed her in the eye ultimately rendering her blind in that eye. She had also noticed her father would come home extremely high. Even though her mother had desperately tried to shield her and put on a happy family façade, it was to no avail.

Akita had already figured out that her father had succumbed to becoming addicted to a special type of opium that only grew in the Land of Snow. She had seen it happen to her friend’s father and wished that the same would not happen to her father.

At age 7, and more notably on her birthday, her life was turned upside down by the arrival of several leaf ninja. They had stormed the village raiding the houses and began seizing the opium plants and ultimately slaughtered whole families to silence them. When the ninja arrived at Akita’s house her mother shoo’ed her into a secret closet she had built to hide her small daughter from her stoned husband. As Akita crawled into the small closet and closed the door she watched secretly from behind the hidden door.

She watched as leaf ninja brutally murdered her mother and father, and she snapped. Tears began to flood her eyes and the ice closet began to grow extremely cold, noticing this, the Leaf Ninja approached the wall where she was hiding and found the door had become shrouded with ice. As they opened the door and saw the small child one lone ninja raised his sword and then everything began to move very slowly in her eyes, the sword that sliced her back and then her freezing every ninja solid and squeezing them to death using the ice.

Drenched in blood she left the house and began calling out names, no one responded, there was only the sound of snow drifts. Still she called out desperately for anyone, family, friends, everyone was dead. She could see red stains in the snow and collapsed to her knees in tears and could only cry as she slowly examined the red stains of blood within the snow. This is when she would vow never to celebrate a birthday again and formally named the day, “Massacre in the Snow Day”

While she wandered the snow, desperate for anyone, a lone leaf ninja came to her rescue. Even while threatening to kill him he gently scooped her up in his arms and comforted her. Despite him begin from the village that just completely murdered her village she found warmth in his arms and began to cry. The lone ninja took her back to the leaf village and raised her. Akita began taking classes at the ninja academy at 10 and kept to herself. She purposely kept people away from her by saying childishly cruel things with an aura of doom around her.

But at age 13, her peaceful life with her surrogate father would be shattered when he went on a mission to the Land of Mist. Akita received news that he had been murdered during a raid and even though her tears had dried up she still mourned his loss and set up a grave just outside the village and visits it constantly. She is now living alone and her house payments are being paid by the village like all other orphans.

Fighting Style: Akita likes to toy with her prey and often uses a mixture of mental terrorist tactics along with techniques that cause pain to her opponent. She dislikes using leaf Village techniques and would rather resort to using techniques by the now village but due to her surrogate father advising her not to let anyone know she was from the Land of Snow, stopped using ice techniques altogether. It would only be when she started facing off against opponents that she would reveal her true fighting style.

Life as a ninja. Empty Here I am, waiting to hold you..

Post  Umbreongirl Fri Jan 14, 2011 5:52 pm

Name: Her birth name was originally something else, but it is something she cannot remember. She is now called ‘Siren’ by all who know her, and not just for her extraordinary beauty.

Age: Fourteen

Personality: A rather multi-faceted character, at times, Siren can seem pretty ostentatious and flirty, giving fresh meaning to her nickname, ‘Siren’. Most commonly, Siren can be found ‘investigating’, as she formally calls it, but what would appear to the uninformed as bold, conspicuous flirting. But the difference between Siren and other girls of her age is that she Siren isn’t mooning over these men. In fact, ‘investigating’ is just what she does, turning the charm on full on, using her keen perception and her training as a spy to bat her long lashes, and get whatever male she may be targeting to spill his guts to her. How she does this is a mystery to other girls, and many are goaded into a rage and a hatred for Siren for quote on quote ‘Stealing their man”. Siren, on the contraire, has no intention whatsoever of snagging any one of these young Ninja. Instead, she appeals to them using their own oversized egos about their abilities and looks, and manipulates her own to aid her. Blessed with a frail frame, Siren, though her technique is swift and clean, is never assessed as competition, only as inventory to be won. She is an expert at the game of playing coy, and uses it to further nurse the egos of the young men she sees as conquest: act as if she’s interested but won’t be tied down by any man, and then eventually submit, earning the trust of the men by feigning giving her own trust to them. Most of the time, Siren is guided by Orochimaru as to who to evaluate, and who to ignore, but Siren has been known to stray from orders occasionally in order to scout out Ninja who she might personally feel are a threat, or just take an interest in. Men respond receptively to Siren not only because of her unique abilities in the art of mind manipulation, but because she is also a skilled linguist, and adapts easily to an array of personalities, which means she must recognize every one of her characteristics to be able to hide or change them with each new man. Though fortune smiles down on Siren in regards to circumstances that would give her the upper hand on mind control, persuasion, and gathering intelligence inconspicuously, it seems it has also laid on her a curse. Her flawed past has made her immune to the insatiable rush that seemingly every human being strives in their life to achieve: romance and true love. While intimacy is traditionally viewed as unifying two lovers, Siren sees is only as a means to ultimately achieve her ends: those ends being growing in strength, ironically enough, serving as role model to the destitute girls living back in her poverty-stricken village, and of course, to serve Orochimaru, for he was the one responsible for her education and training in the Leaf Village in the first place. Siren has been used sexually so many times that she manages to tune herself out during the tamer of her encounters, and enjoys the occasional romp in the sheets, but strictly for pleasure and lusts’ sake, never in the name of love. She seems unperturbed by her inability to love, however, and is more grateful for the lack of a distraction in her quest to grow stronger and eventually be a top contending Ninja. Though impatient by nature, and a little bit vain, she has been trained well to keep her temper and always smile, and not to let others know what she is truly thinking or feeling. Her special jutsu requires immense concentration and chakra for it to work perfectly, and she must be completely relaxed, so to work herself up into a rage would only slim her chances of victory, so she is able to maintain her composure most of the time. She, however, like anyone else, loves a good, solid laugh, and can get a bit giddy and over the top with her sister, the only female as of late who has come to like her.

History: Siren’s beginnings were less than grandiose, as with many, in a small, obscure village that later became The Village Hidden in the Sound after Orochimaru acquired it for his personal conquests. Born there, in the small, impoverished town, and living under a failed Ninja father, who had actually graduated at the Leaf Academy but before he even had the chance to take the first part of his Chunin exams, he had impregnated a simple Rice farmer’s daughter, and at the order of her father, was forced to marry her before she delivered their first son. They went on to have three more sons in a row, and finally, a daughter before the mother inconspicuously offered the virginity of her ten year-old daughter for a shady Ninja to render her infertile. The mother was at first ashamed of herself, and riddled with grief and angst, for she desperately wanted to provide for her five children, but knew there would be even smaller of a chance that she could if she went on to have more children. But rather than vow that this event would never happen again, the mother instead got to thinking. The four boys were strong, and showed just as much potential and promise as their father. Watching his four boys ascend into adolescence, and seeing himself, a fresh start and the chance to brush the shame off his family name and earn some respect, the father was prepared to sell the house and live on the streets if he had to so he could send the boys away to the Ninja Academy for training. Meanwhile, the mother, horrified at the prospect of living on the streets, instead put her daughter on them to earn money for her brothers’ tuition. The father, though fully aware and comprehensive of the source of their new income, never once brought it up, never once asked where Siren was going as she was leaving the house. Prostitution, especially child prostitution was illegal, but in those parts of the town Siren was forced to go to, the family name long forgotten, nobody cared. They were the influential, they were the powerful men Siren was forced to seduce. At first, she was laughed off the streets, and could only receive takers in the desolate, dingy parts of town. But by the time she was going on thirteen, Siren had really blossomed into an attractive, desirable young lady, and though men of all sorts desired her, and though she was kept plenty busy, it seemed every day, her mother increased the dollar amount she must bring home to be able to sleep in her own bed and eat what little bit of food they had. Siren was soon becoming exhausted, working all day and most of the night, able only to take about four or five hours off for food and sleep, and still, she wasn’t making enough to meet her mother’s ridiculous demands. And then the recession hit. Men stopped spending their money on her frivolously, and instead turned away to look after their own. This was no excuse for her money hungry parents, though, who were finally able to afford keeping all four boys schooled and boarded on the three wages they made, as well as keep their tiny shack of a home. They told her that until she brought back all of what they had told her to, the door remained locked, and she would get nothing to eat, sure that she was just being lazy. After spending four nights on the streets, and drinking water out of shallow puddles and thieving to eat, Siren, her body never so used and violated for such a low price, was on the verge of collapsing. It was then that she felt an uncanny force enveloping her, swelling in her chest and expanding, and so, hand outstretched as if to beckon them all in, she sang. Immediately, every man on the street stopped, dumbstruck, their minds temporarily turned to mush, as their ears and heads were filled with that sweet, tragic sound. They couldn’t look away from her eyes, not even if they had somehow had the power to resist her voice and desire it, which they didn’t. They could only advance, slowly advance, toward her, love struck and willing to do anything she desired. The only man whose mind hadn’t completely turned to mush (though admittedly, even though he was standing still, he was unable to look away from the girl) was Orochimaru, the very man responsible for all the dark Ninja in this town giving Siren business. Pushing through the men, he told her to follow him. Follow him, and become stronger, become more than just a common whore, become respected, become feared. Have her name ring all around the world. He would make her into something, but she would have to obey. The singing quieting to a low, sweet hum, she followed him, leaving the men in the street, desperate for her love, desperate to do her will heartbroken. She followed him, and since there was nowhere else for her to go, he adopted her and introduced her to another girl he had taken in and was training. The two instantly became very close, and were very often sent as a duo to do his bidding. Rarely were they let out though, they were both so precious and valuable and he kept them hidden within his primal lair to train mercilessly. Siren didn’t mind though, she finally had a home, and somewhat of a family. Never once looking back on her old life, Siren was eventually sent with her adopted sister to the Leaf village, where they both were enrolled into the Ninja Academy, mere weeks before the graduation exam. They were Sound Ninja at heart, but would take the disguise of Leaf Ninjas to keep them safe while they ultimately carried out his orders, whatever they may be.

Appearance: A strong, heart-shaped face with high cheekbones and angular eyes attribute to a great amount of the sex appeal of the girl. With a naturally chalky complexion that could possibly deter boys, Siren has instead made the most out of her pallor by highlighting her eyes with bright, bold eye shadows of auburn, crimson, chartreuse, and sapphire. Sometimes she will paint on one color, other times multiple colors. Other times, she will forsake eye shadow completely and darken the rim of her eyelids and under her eyes with various hues of eye shadow. Because having her hair cropped short is advantageous for her fighting, Siren must manage to do this in style, and appear just as appealing, just as breathtaking despite this. Her hair falls just beneath her ears in length, but is layered as such that some pieces fall an inch or two above her eyes. The hair is rather choppy in appearance from the back, but from the front, the layers match up, going somewhat in order from the longest down to her chin up to the shortest, two inches above her eyes. The top she styles to somewhat stick out in the slightest, giving her an innocent, tousled look. A side part allows for bangs to fall, partially covering her right eye, and these are layered as well. Siren is pretty scrawny in actual shape, with a small bust, hipbones that don’t notably protrude outward, thin arms, and tiny shoulder blades. Though an hour glass shape would’ve been more preferable for her talents, it is worth being thankful for anyhow that Siren, because of her miniscule appendages, is able to get around quicker in battle, which is a necessity, since she is of such low strength. Siren’s natural hair color is the color of fallen snow, not feigning at silver or platinum, but is pure white. Her eyes are a majestic, entrancing sea foam green, commanding attention, begging to be admired, a twin set of priceless jewels. When performing her special jutsu, they become the color of molten gold, and they cannot be looked away from.

Outfit: A tight pair of black spandex shorts is a staple item for Siren’s outfit, and serves its practical use as a means for her to attack more freely and without concern for what might be showing. While it may seem that Siren has no good reason to protect her modesty, it is easily forgotten that Siren uses her skills professionally; she seduces and beds men to gather intelligence, at the cost of her own sanctity to obey Orochimaru. But when she gets down to business and is fighting avidly, with no pretense of seduction, she has no interest in being indecent, and in fact finds others getting a free peepshow of her body disgusting. Over these shorts, she wears a plain pleated white mini skirt, short enough not to hinder her movement, and made of elastic material, so that they can easily be tossed off if they are snagged or used in any other way to pin her. Normally, Siren wears a tight button-up white blouse, decorated with a spray of colorful rainbow flowers. The shirt is moderately dressy, and the sleeves are half-sleeves. Over this she wears a white jacket made out of the same breathable material as her skirt, which she always leaves halfway zipped up, along with the first three buttons of her blouse unbuttoned. The jacket is mostly white, with pastel pink accents here and there. The pink silhouette of a butterfly is present above her right breast. Like all other Ninjas, Siren’s outfit is customized with the appropriate pouches and holsters for the kunai knives, scrolls, medicines, her water canteen, and other miscellaneous items. She carries a plain white canvas backpack, dingy from frequent usage, which contains a Shuriken, and several more scrolls, as well as one of her more important Ninja items: her makeup case. Wink

Tak, Tak, Tak.

The pervading echo of her smart, domineering new leather boots was something that Siren relished. Having grown up in a place where it wasn't uncommon to see children's feet, even in the dead of Winter, swollen from exposure, and laced with scabbed over cuts on the soles, Siren, though her journey hadn't even begun yet, already felt confident, already felt as if she had hit some sort of jackpot. Back in her old village, as much as some future-minded part of Siren rebelled against ruminescing over the past, Siren could recall the new, patent leather white Mary Janes some little girls wore on their way to school. Only the upper most class of children, boys and girls from the elite political representatives of her village could afford such luxuries, and children like Siren and her brother were forced to stare on in envy from the gutters.

Sure, these aren't the prestigious finishing schools mummy attended as a girl, nor the scholarly powerhouses daddy went to to be able to sit back and make a profit off everyone else's misery. But despite this, somehow, I think that this Ninja Academy will be better.

As Siren paused before the door of the classroom, she was suddenly overwhelmed with a wave of nausea. Though she had bedded dozens of foreign, dangerous men, criminal assassins and the works before she had been taken in, for some reason, this landmark event seemed infinitely more important. Those men who had imposed their will on her, pinned her down against thir sheets, those men had never seen her for anything more than what she appeared: a common, desperate, slightly prettier street rat. But these kids, these other kids in here, what she had been blessed with was a fresh start.

So you better not blow it, you hear?

Determination glazing over her jade eyes and seemingly locking in her desired mindset, she jerked her chin downward in a decisive nod. Blow it she would not, not this time around. As her doll-like hand reached for the indention in the wooden door that would allow her to slide it back, she reached deep within herself, drawing on several key moments in her past, moments that were less than savory to the spoiled, well-fed youth of this Leaf village, who had never lusted after a pair of their own shoes or been forced to dig elbow-deep in waste bins. Moments like the one where her brothers, lined up tallest to youngest, had each been handed a traditional Kunai Knife from her father, the few relics he had saved and not sold from his days as a Ninja. That day was also the day her mother had first painted her eyes and her lips. Then a more recent moment. How just a week ago, she and her sister had walked solemnly through the tiny Village of Sound, catching the eyes of every broken, destitute person in the village. The weak swarm of Rice farmers who hadn't preserved their honor and died fighting Orochimaru from invasion, the always-seedy politicians who had had to agree to a puppet government of sorts and had fallen into Orochimaru's hand as well and their families, and then, Siren's old mother, who had confronted the entourage in hysterics.

"What have you done to my baby?! My sweet, obedient ------?"

Siren hadn't said a word as her mother had embraced her emotionally, had stood, her arms at her sides, keeping her keen eyes focused only on the horizon. She was almost out of this godforsaken hellhole, and nothing, not even sentimentality, would keep her from breaking free.

"Don't you mean your sweet, obedient cash cow?" The man flanking Siren had sneered viciously, sharp incisors gleaming dangerously, as fluidly, he inserted himself between Siren and the woman, effectively cutting her off from the girl.

"------!" The woman had screamed, years of pent-in regret and sorrow splashing down over her plump cheeks, those cheeks which had once been so rosy and beautiful.

"Enough." Siren had finally spoke, wanting no more grief on the part of her Lord, wanting no more inconvenience thrust upon him.

"Mother, I have but one thing to thank you for, the thing that has enabled me to go with this man and leave this dirty little town. Shame on you for using me as a tool, a puppet with which to achieve your means, get your soiled honor back. I have no quarrel with you, for we are even now. Bit I warn you, if you ever come for me, if you ever try to drag me back to this pit of hell to rot with you, this man who I serve, he won't need to interfere. Because I'll kill you myself before I'm made to come back here and lie down in filth."

Siren's mother had been in such a state a shock, she had only let herself be pushed back from the emerging procession, had only stood by uselessly, tears falling like watery jewels, looking on after her youngest child, the one she had never fought for, who now fought for herself, the one who she would never speak to, or touch, or embrace again. And those tears, indeed they fell for Siren, but only because the mother now had no idea what she would do about the tuition of the other children.

Siren took a deep breath, and once her chest had swelled completely, once her depth appeared to be greater than what it what, gripped the indentation, and flung the door open. Today was the day. Today was the day to stand up out of that gutter filled with sewage, and the poisoned corpses of rats that had served as her playthings, and stand as the equal of these other children. True, this was the first new pair of shoes she had worn. True, she had never had school supplies, or scrolls, or Kunai of her own, and these items were still as unfamiliar to her as the concept of having a meal in her belly each night, but Siren knew that what she lacked in experience she made up for in aspiration and natural ability. These girls would resent her, these boys would see her as a precious aquistion, but that was to be expected. Today would be the day, alright. Today would be the day that despite her licentious lifestyle, despite her rags background, she would rise up and mercilessly take the respect for herself if she had to. Nodding to her sister, who followed several strides behind, Siren, a wry smile playing out upon her painted lips, Siren boldly stepped into the classroom.

[Short post, I know, but I'm unsure of what is currently going on. I don't know Dyanna's character's name, I don't know if we're starting the day of the Ganin exams or a week prior, and Tiff, you haven't posted. I'll write another as soon as one of you posts.]

Chapter 1.1: Cold as Ice, Innocent as snow.

SPLATTER.

Drip, drip ,drip.

“Mama…PAPA!” A child’s voice yelled out within the darkness, once again she was sitting in that dark closet, and could literally taste blood as she saw her parents fall. The child sat in the closet holding her head in agony and felt herself getting lost within the horrible blackness that was despair.

Akita shot up in her bed, she was sweating horribly and her breaths were in short, frequent pants. Another nightmare. She shook off the horrible day and stepped out of bed. She was up unexpectedly early today; in fact she would be indeed early for school if she got ready now. Akita was growing quite fond of school now a day because her Genin exam was coming up and she couldn’t wait to become a ninja.

She slipped out of her pajamas and into her favorite dress, one that made her look like a semi-gothic porcelain doll, and to top it off and lovely, black headband. Akita took care of everything else she needed too, grabbed her breakfast and backpack, and headed out.

--
The school was abnormally quiet in the morning. Usually it was filled with her annoying classmates running around and making noise. Regardless, she would get in some reading done before school, before all the madness started.

She walked past two students who had also arrived early; Akita looked back and smiled at them. The two responded by shuddering and running off. Akita only smirked and headed for the classroom, only to absently bump into another girl who was absently standing in front of the class room, “Excuse me.” She smiled at her innocently and took her seat at the back class that had a window view. Akita liked this seat because it had a nice window view, and she could see her foster father’s grave from this spot and it always gave Akita something to look at when class got boring and her attention drifted from Iruka-sensei.

Akita had grown quite accustomed to staring out at that window during lunch; she often sat by herself in bitter silence. During those long silences she would pull out a book she had been reading. It was all about the snow village and some of their jutsues, which Akita would often go practice at the end of the day.

Still, she continued her morning in peace and hoped that the day would bring something interesting but usually it never does.

Life as a ninja. Empty On the floating shapeless oceans, I did all my best to smile.

Post  Umbreongirl Mon Jan 17, 2011 1:59 am

Her feeble shoulders squared, Siren forged her way into the classrom, already beginning to survey those who would serve as her competition almost before her entire body had emerged. Truth be told, few students had braved the early morning hours to be counted early, and Siren suspected that she would be settled in and acquainted with these foreign surroundings long before even the Sensei arrived. The crowd was sparce and pickings were slim, and as Siren stood dead center, she pivoted daintily, sizing up those who had made an appearance thusfar. The majority of the early birds were female, which didn't surprise her. When it came to dedication and sacrifice, though Kunoichi were the minority, Siren found that her fellow ladies were much more willing to put their comfort and luxuries on the line in order to succeed.

It's too damn bad that not a single one of these girls will give me a fighting chance at befriending them. It never fails. As soon as these prepubescent boys come storming in and see me, I'll be public enemy numero uno.

"What? What's this?" In a classroom constructed in an auditorium style as this one, the boy in question sat a little bit left of the center of the classroom, inhabiting a seat in the middle section.
The sole male in the classroom, the boy's ivory complexion was flawless. His hair wasn't exactly shaggy, it was far from unkempt, but it wasn't clean cut either. And from the styling of it, it looked as if the boy cared a great deal about how it appeared, though from the careful shunning of the other students, it seemed that a cool reputation was exactly what he craved.

Hmm.. Siren smirked, already beginning to evalutate the boy.

An ego craver, huh? I must rely less on my looks and more on my brains and skill if I'm to snag this one. He's strong, there's no doubt in my mind about that. But his downfall will be in his pride. That, or in his refusal to understand when he's in over his head.

While this may have seemed to be quite a bit for Siren to have gleaned just by looking at the boy, she was an expert in this type of psychological analysis. Living on the streets, people smarts were much more preferable than academic or book smarts. When faced with the decision of whether or not to go home with a prospective client, it meant her life if Siren wasn't able to at least partially unearth his intentions.

Suddenly, the boy's Coal eyes flickered upward, and ignited Siren's, his dark eyes consumed by a deep, smoldering pain. He stared her down calculatively, the prolonged hate of his soul searing into her like a branding iron. But Siren held his gaze, managing even a cool, slightly provocative smile. She adjusted her stance into a defensive one, and seductively laid a hand on her hip, though that could've also been interpreted as her inching toward a Kunai knife. She knew he was testing her, and if she caved under the pressure, knew he would brush her aside like he probably did every other female Ninja. Indeed, his eyes widened, surprised, and just as he had begun to further examine Siren, she turned on her heel and walked away from him.

Hook, line, and sinker. Tonight, he'll be feverish with dreams about me. Her work done, at least for the time being, Siren made her way up through the rows of seats, to the very upper lefthand side of the room. A lone female sat up there apart from the others, who had grouped in social, hyperactive bunches, their conversations peppered with the various names of boys. One in particular that popped up about three times as frequently was 'Sasuke Uchiha'. Siren seated herself next to the loner female, not really paying attention to her location, just keeping a careful eye on the nameless boy who seemed to glance over at her every now and again, trying to seem subtle. But when she finally turned toward the girl, she was met with a pair of chilling eyes.

Oh great. Siren thought, trying to keep her facial expressions neutral.

Please don't tell me that this is another sad crush case. Sorry honey, but my involvements are purely business. I'm not aiming to steal your man.

The girl, as if she could read Siren's mind, suddenly displayed a repulsed look on her face. Siren paused, momentarily confused, and then astonished, took note that the girl's icey gaze wasn't directed toward her or anyone else in the room. Instead, she seemed in a trance, present in a different time, and a different place. Thoughtfully placing a hand on the left side of her cheek, cocking her head so that her bangs veiled that portion of her face, Siren began the difficult task of assessing this one. Typically, Siren found it a waste of time and intellectual capacity to assess females, but she reminded herself that from now on, she would be held to different standards. She could no longer peacefully ignore other females, because each and every one of these girls were potential competition. No, not over men, but were competitive foes. In order to beat out the competition, she would have to be an equal opportunity snoop. But while these other females seemed your typical high-strung emotional boy-crazed teenagers, this one seemed to have an agenda of her own. Her eyes were just hues darker than Siren's, and her hair Goldilocks blonde.

To be honest, this girl was making Siren uneasy. But this wasn't necessarily a bad thing. To be uneasy was to be unsure, and to be unsure meant that this girl was unpredictable, which fascinated Siren. Highly interested in this girl, completely forgetting about the boy she had been teasing, Siren enthusiastically afforded the girl a nod.

"Hello." She said pleasantly, trying to be as amiable as her guarded nature would allow her.

"I don't know if you'll necessarily care, but just in case it's of any use to you, I'm Siren Yoshida." Siren grinned invitingly. The girl, showing none of the rapt interest the boy had, responded by tilting her eye down toward Siren, since she was several inches taller than her. She seemed just as guarded, if not more so, than Siren, and about fifteen times as intimidating. While Siren seemed to compel people to her, this girl seemed to repel. Still, Siren couldn't look away. A female this formidable was a rarity.

"A word ov advice, Siren Yoshida." The girl uttered. Her tone was hushed, inconspicuous, but even still Siren could detect a bit of an accent.

"Iv you're trying to blend in here, since you are obviously new, keep an eye on your surroundings. You vill never be a successful Ninja iv you blindly ignore ze people around you."

"Huh?" Siren replied, confused, until she looked over at the other side of the room. All of the females who had formerly been chatting obliviously were now all leering menacingly at her. Siren sweatdropped, and turned helplessly to the female seated next to her, who only met the girls' gazes with an even, measured stare. Inbetween the mysterious girl and the girls across the room were a nervous Siren, and Sasuke, who, completely blowing off the girls Siren could now see were mooning over him, snuck glances at Siren every now and again.

Shit. Don't tell me I blew it already! Siren thought furiously, panicking.

Where is Kohana when I need her? Though Siren was trying to maintain composure and not to let her muscles start spasming or her chest start heaving, her efforts were giving her away in an obvious heavy perspiration.

"That floozy thinks she can just waltz that pretty face in here and seduce our Sasuke? That bitch has another thing coming!"

"I hope she's anxious to have her face rearranged because that's exactly what's going to happen to that little tart!"

"Conspicuous slut.. He's falling for it, too. And her hair, it's so short! We're going to have to move fast if we're going to keep her away from him."

"I was in a good mood when I came in today, but this hoe has me all fired up! I hope we do hand to hand combat today!"

Now thoroughly unnerved, as any girl facing a horde of at least fifteen females should be, Siren subconsciously inched closer to the girl next to her. It didn't escape Siren's attention that the girl next to her was still cooly staring down the group of girls verbally attacking her. After several long moments of uncomfortable tension between the two groups, the girls across the room, spooked by her unbroken staring, finally broke their gaze from Siren uneasily, resorting to a few nasty glances now and then. Sasuke, aware of the other girls' vicious verbal assault, was now ignoring everyone. Amazed, Siren, her eyes wide with gratitude, smiled appreciatively at the girl next to her.

"Siren Yoshida, meet Sasuke Uchiha. Dreamboat of zis classroom, though I can't fathom vhy."

Life as a ninja. Empty NINJA START!

Post  LightningFox Mon Jan 17, 2011 4:13 am

Kohana ran through the streets of the village, her arms streached out behind her. Graduation day was one week away at the ninja acadamy, AND SHE WAS LATE! " Crap crap crap crap! " She whined as she skidded to a half stop only so she could round a corner. A tiny golden fox poked its head from her shirt and gave a slight " nyu " As she ran. Her bright green eyes were wide as she slowed down to enter the acadamy. " If Im ever going to become a hero, I need to seriously learn to wake up early, huh Kai? " She smiled down at her little fox partner and started toward her class. She slammed open the door, loudly, which got the attention of many of the students in the room. Looking around, she caught sight of Siren, her friend from the old village, being surrounded by a group of angry girls, and one girl was at sirens side, seemingly ignoring the fact a possable murder would happen right next to her. " YO Siren! Need a paw? " She started prancing over toward the group, and forcably pushed her way through the crowd of angry hormone filled teens.

" Hey now Bitch, We are trying to settle something here! " One of the girls said, and Kohana just turned to look at her straight in the face.

" What have we here? A lovley little barbie doll? Or, maybe it was one, untill a dog chewed on it, shat on it, and then it somehow got microwaved and melted so that the shit blends with the gooey plastic slime? What do you think Siren-chan? " She grinned over to her friend, and Kai climbed out of her shirt to leap into Sirens arms. " Whos your new friend? "

" Why you little.." The girl that Kohana had insulted was pissed at both the insult, and the sudden ignoring. She aimed a full force punch right for the back of Kohanas head, but was stopped by the hand of Iruka sensei.

" Well well, causing trouble I see? Pick your fights only when on mission, and not in the classroom. Now take your seat. " He looked her stern in the face, and the girl pouted and stormed off to her seat. Iruka-sensei moved down to his desk and then suddenly smiled widely at the class as a whole. " I hope you are all ready to graduate next week class, Because your test is going to be quite the surprize. But for now, I want you all to show off your transformation jutsus. I will call you down one at a time and you will show how well you have progressed with Transformations. " He smiled and looked at his scroll, and began calling names. Kohana hugged onto Siren as the two waited their turns.

" I hope we get teamed up! We better get teamed up! Sensei back home will be probably upset if we dont get teamed up! " Kohana was worrying more over how her beloved "Hebi-Sensei" would feel about the two of them being seperated, but of corse she herself was dieing to be paired with her only real friend in the leaf.

Life as a ninja. Empty Re: Life as a ninja.

Post  TheAlmightyGhostPrincess Mon Jan 17, 2011 5:25 am

It had been such a quite morning, and Akita had been enjoying the peace but everything had was starting to go downhill the minute a 5”2 girl had entered the classroom and had begun flirting with the most sought after boy in class, Sasuke Uchiha. Akita smiled; somehow she was begun to feel interest in the whole situation. Akita watched as the girls in the classroom had turned their attention to her and was glaring at her with hate.

Akita laughed a bit. Somehow in her heart she found the situation to be highly amusing, it wasn’t every day she saw someone instantly become public enemy number one. Akita examined the girl, from what she observed, she did not have a kind past, it was filled with shame, and she carried that burden but was somehow to manage. A vinteresting thing to observe, she thought.

After things had SEMI quieted down (Akita could still hear the girls snide remarks in the background) Akita returned to gazing out the window. Her thoughts drifted to the grave that could clearly be seen from this seat.

Sensei…are you proud?

Her attention quickly turned to the girl who was fiercely examining here, most likely examining to see if she was a threat. Akita shifted her gaze downward at the girl. It was icy, and radiating a feeling of discontent. The girl shifted her gaze downward to Sasuke and Akita rolled her eyes. The girl had sensed this and smirked at her. Akita responded with a look of repulsive disgust. She knew this girl was probably thinking that she was as jealous as these high strung teenagers, overly jealous about Sasuke. The two had only exchanged looks and had learned just a bit about each other.

"Hello." She said pleasantly, "I don't know if you'll necessarily care, but just in case it's of any use to you, I'm Siren Yoshida."

Akita gave an amused smile, “"A word ov advice, Siren Yoshida,” Siren looked at her curiously, "Iv you're trying to blend in here, since you are obviously new, keep an eye on your surroundings. You vill never be a successful Ninja iv you blindly ignore ze people around you."

"Huh?" Siren replied, confused, until she looked over at the other side of the room. All of the females who had formerly been chatting obliviously were now all leering menacingly at her. The girl Siren sweat dropped and took a step closer to Akita. She was frightened, most definitely frightened.

The girls took a step closer to Siren ready to pounce on her and massacre her. Akita kept her smile, the situation amused her, and it had been a while since such a ruckus had been caused. Siren took another step backward toward Akita.

“Vy, Vy you’ve caused vuite va ruckus, Siren- san.” Akita said almost angelically. When they heard the sound of Akita’s voice made the girls stop. Akita smiled at the girls, and was beginning to emanate a very distinct doom-like aura around her. Akita never had to say a thing; her body language said everything that needed to be said. Just as the girls were about to disperse another girl entered the fray, much more enthusiastic at starting fights with the girls.

“What have we here, a lovely little Barbie doll? Or, maybe it was one, until a dog chewed on it, shat on it, and then it somehow got microwaved and melted so that the shit blends with the gooey plastic slime? What do you think Siren-chan? “She grinned over to her friend, and just as suddenly a small fox climbed out of her shirt and hopped into Siren’s arms, “Who’s your new friend?”

“Vriend is va vord I vouldn’t use.” Akita said angelically while keeping her childish smile.

“Well, well, causing trouble I see? Pick your fights only when on mission, and not in the classroom. Now take your seat, “He looked her stern in the face, and the girl pouted and stormed off to her seat. Iruka-sensei moved down to his desk and then suddenly smiled widely at the class as a whole. “I hope you are all ready to graduate next week class, because your test is going to be quite the surprise. But for now, I want you all to show off your transformation jutsues. I will call you down one at a time and you will show how well you have progressed with Transformations.” The girl sat right down to Siren and began rambling about wanting to be paired together; Akita however, noticed that Sirens attention was turned toward Sasuke.

"Siren Yoshida, meet Sasuke Uchiha. Dreamboat of zis classroom, though I can't fathom vhy.” Akita said

The day had passed rather uneventfully besides the usual antics of the class clown, Naruto and before Akita knew it, it was time for lunch. Akita would eat lunch at her desk, by herself, like usual. She took her bento box out from under her desk.

Some simple rice balls and other random assorted things, she also had a juice bottle filled with vodka to accompany her lunch (She had skillfully learned to pass vodka off as fruit juice) but once again, the day got rather brutal when the newest girl had once more got in trouble with the rest of the girls in class by passively flirting with Sasuke.

“YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE A PASS AT OUR MAN, BITCH?”
One girl yelled and lunged at her, but Siren dodged and ran back to Akita’s corner of the classroom, the group of girls following behind.

“DON’T RUN YOU FUCKING BITCH!” Another girl yelled and lunged for her, Siren was cornered with nowhere to go but fortunately luck had been on her side. The girl that had lunged for Siren the second time had knocked over Akita’s bento and it scattered all over the floor.

The group turned to the situation and silence filled the classroom. Akita got up and turned to the girl, “And I’m assuming vou will pay for vis?” Akita smiled irritadedly a doom-like aura surrounding her again.

“A-Ah..I-I….” The girl shivered as Akita took a step forward, a smile never leaving her face.

“Children who vare bad vill be punished, vou are not bad are vou?” Akita smiled; the whole group began to cower. Now they were the ones who were cornered, “Vour lunch. I will take it vas compensation vor your clumsy mistake.”

“I-I…” The girl responded, the whole group was sharing.

“Now do vou you intend to stand there like a bunch ov idiot or are vou going to beat it?” Akita’s gaze was growing my tense by the minute. The group of girls sat their frightened until one pink-haired girl took a step forward.

“Hold on a sec, why should you take her lunch?!” Sakura hissed at Akita. Akita’s amused smile faded, and she looked at Sakura.

What she was beginning to utter was not words but more of a chant, and her icy face had turned to a glare, “kolkolkolkolkolkolkol” was the phrase she was chanting. The entire group panicked and ran away in fear, but not before they all surrendered their lunch boxes to Akita out of fear, “Such troublesome girls..” Akita took her seat and began eating her newly acquired lunches.

“Delicious.”

Life as a ninja. Empty Re: Life as a ninja.

Post  LightningFox Tue Jan 18, 2011 3:01 am

Kohana sat in the corner with her fox Kai, both eating from a nintendo themed bento box. She was eating a tiny cheese and lettuce Link, which sat apon a bed of rice, with a chicken meat epona and scrambled egg sun with cheese triforce in its center. Kai the fox was munching a small steak with potatoes. Now if only Siren were with em to enjoy the food, but Kohana knew she would be scoping out the local male tail. The day was seemingly relaxing, untill...

“YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE A PASS AT OUR MAN, BITCH?” Uh oh. Siren must have set off another jelousy attack. Kohana sighed and stood up, with kai giving a nervous yip.

" no worries Kai, Im a hero, Im allways going to be able to save the day! " She gave the fox a thumbs up and wink before walking to see the source of the commotion. By the time she found the source, the girls were running scared from the girl Siren was with again. " There you are Siren-chan! Cause more trouble I see. And your Akita, right? " She suddenly noticed all the bento boxes and her mouth began to water. " That's..alot of food. You sure are skilled to get them all to give it up like that. "

" I did no zuch thing. Ze girls just gave me ze food as repayment for spilling mine." The girl, Akita answered innocently enough. Kohana grinned and ran off to fetch her food, and Kits, so her and her fox could end up eating with Siren and Akita.

" So then, Siren-chan. What fish you after this time? "

( Short I know. but Meh, and I do mean MEH "

Life as a ninja. Empty Me, I'm a Scene, I'm a Drama Queen. I'm the best damn thing that your eyes ever did see. ;)

Post  Umbreongirl Thu Jan 20, 2011 6:13 am

12:03 pm.
Unbeknownst to Kohana, who Siren accurately predicted would most likely be eating lunch alone with Kai after her rather abrasive (althought hilarious) encounter with who Siren was now affectionately reminded of as "the mutant" Barbie", Siren was tucked quietly away near the front of the classroom. She had told Kohana that she would be eating lunch with Sasuke, and that had originally been the plan: insert herself near enough to the boy to where she could survey him a bit closer, and perhaps lure him in to some very basic, very abstract chit chat. She had doubted that much would happen today, though. No. Not over lunch. If she were to land this one, she was sure that the only way to gain his respect and to further arouse his interest in her would be her performance on the battlefield. This boy seemed unconcerned with Smarts alone, as Sakura herself had kindly (and quite pitifully) demonstrated for Siren when she very nearly broke her own neck to be the first to answer a series of oral quizzes dealt out by Iruka-Sensei. After every answer was validated in turn by Iruka, Sakura would beam brilliantly as if she had just unearthed the holy grail or something, and turn to Sasuke for approval, only to be shot down each and every time with the boy's typical unimpressed eye roll.

Don't despair, fair Sakura. Siren mused with a sardonic smirk. You may not have captured the heart of your precious Sasuke, but you weren't good for nothing.

Siren luxuriously recounted glancing over at Sasuke after Sakura's fifth consecutive correct answer, and as he rolled his eyes for what was the fifth time, made a gesture as if to hang herself and similarly rolled her own eyes. This had evicted a smile from Sasuke's fair lips, and he had looked at Siren with a renewed spark before she turned away and appeared to be concentrating. Siren had no food, despite it being lunch, and instead, seized lunch time as an opportunity to do some of her most important work. As said, she was going to plant herself casually near Sasuke, but Sakura had beat her to the chase, and taking note of the boy's newfound sour expression, Siren decided that she didn't want her first impression to be tainted by Sakura's annoying persistence. And so she kept her distance, looking over at Kohana every now and then, and over at that other girl, the one with the funny accent, who sat eating alone as well. Siren frowned. She seemed so lonely, so desolate and... seething. Siren closed her eyes sympathetically. Though the last thing she would ever want from anyone was pity, given her less than savory past, she couldn't help but feel for the girl who had obviously been burned in the throes of life. Siren was jarred from her pondering when she heard an abrupt clatter, and then a minor ruckus like a body rising too quickly. She turned to watch from the corner of her eye, not wanting to appear concerned, and noticed that Sasuke was on the move. Judging from the hot scarlet mess Sakura's face had turned into and a mess of displaced books and other scholarly materials strewn about on the floor, as well as Sasuke storming away from the encounter, Siren sized up the situation as a lover's quarrel gone awry. At least in Sakura's mind. Sasuke probably saw Sakura's failed attempt quite differently, as the failed attempt of a disillusioned stalker. Now was her chance. Sasuke would be walking past at any moment now...

Siren braced herself, and not only in the ordinary sense, but swiftly closed her eyes, honing in on what she imagined was her central Chakra point, and concentrated on maximizing the distribution of it to her head, in hopes of sharpening her mind. Her eyes flashed open, and as Sasuke approached, Siren had just enough time to put on an informed smile, a smile that suggested she knew something about Sasuke that others didn't. Which in a sense, she did. His insecurities were quite typical of a human being. Sure, he lacked the general need for acceptance, but ultimately, he borrowed from the same drive that everybody in this classroom simultaneously shared: to make something of themselves, and somehow attain the awe of the others. Sasuke, now at a loss for where to go, seemed to make a rapid decision and be making a beeline for where Siren set.

C'mon, Sasuke. Yes, yes. Come to papa. If I get this one in the bag today, I won't have to take my focus off of my training for the graduation exam!

And that was what Siren really wanted. Not to flirt around with this boy, this flawless blemish-free persnickety pretty boy, but to get the lowdown on him as she had been ordered to do, and then spend the next six days training and sightseeing simultaneously. Not that the rumored graduation exam, the Doppleganger or Shadow Clone jutsu, would pose any difficulty at all for Siren, or any other self-respecting young Ninja. The training was strictly to help her get ahead, to relish the sweet, horrified look on Sasuke's face when he, along with the other cocky males of this classroom realized that this pretty little doe packed a punch stronger than theirs. Sasuke's dark eyes were trained forward, and lashed out passionately at Siren's, and Siren, an old pro, instructed hers to latch on to them endearingly, to keep her face smug and collected, and let her eyes do all the talking. Sasuke seemed a pretty nonverbal type anyways, and if he preferred subtley and discreetness, who was she to argue? Sasuke was only several strides away from Siren's reach when the head Nazi, mutant Barbie, interjected herself and her posse inbetween Sasuke and Siren.

"Well well well. Surprise Suprise, ladies. The Slag Kunoichi strikes again. This racy little cunt thinks she's cute enough to outmanuver us when it comes to Sasuke." The main one guffawed, obviously to get a rise out of Siren, but Siren easily kept her mouth shut and her blood from boiling by conjuring up the mental image of a Barbie doll's molten plastic flesh mixing with dog poo, and creating this girl, a hybrid of the two elements. She didn't try to stifle a conniving grin. The girl's expression hardened, and she turned to the girl standing next to her.

"This girl thinks that this is a joke, Ona. Show the tramp that we mean business." Ona, who was a much larger and geftier girl, obviously the descendant of a class of hardy farmers, snatched Siren up by one of her puny arms, and for a moment, dangled her mid-air like a chew toy. Siren winced painfully as her right arm beared the entire weight of her body, but didn't struggle. Not yet. Eventually, Ona returned her to the ground, but captured both her wrists and pinned them behind her back. Siren took note that Sasuke had frozen in advance toward her, and now watched the altercation with mild interest, focusing hard on Siren and creating the expectation of her triumph.

Noticing that Sasuke was watching, the Mutant Barbie plastered on a corrupt little smile.

"Sasuke and everybody else in this room is going to know that you are a joke of a Ninja. You are shameful and disrespected, and I'm not gonna' let a person in this room forget it." The girl pulled out a Kunai knife dramatically, and Siren only rolled her eyes as Sasuke's pupils dilated in the slightest.

Siren, though inwardly she was beginning to feel a little uneasy, put up a bored front, and yawned in the girl's face as she suddenly jerked forward unexpectedly miliseonds later after Ona had foolishly loosened her grip, freeing her wrists while at the same time giving her the momentum to crash through the remainder of the girls. The mutant Barbie, now losing face and facing humiliation in front of Sasuke, who, of course, was now affording Siren a little bit of positive attention, was now blinded by rage and embarrassment.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN MAKE A PASS AT OUR MAN, BITCH?" She roared, alerting not only those in the immediate vicinity of the altercation, but sending this comment booming throughout the whole room, echoing mightily and awkwardly silencing dozens of conversations. The Mutant Barbie lunged at Siren, bearing the sharp blade of the Kunai, but Siren had no difficulty in tearing past her, moving so swiftly that she appeared almost as a flash, and used this speed to her advantage in springing away from the hostile girls, as far away from these bloodthirsty bimbos as she could get. But the girls, fully aware that Sasuke was still observing were in no mood to drop the conflict, and like a pack of hounds after a wounded Doe, trailed her loyally, baying all the way. Siren was so focused on putting distance between herself and the other females, that she unwittingly trapped herself, running herself into a corner. While her instinct urged her not to turned around and expose her face to this hideous pack of Ogres, Siren's honor ordered her not to go down without a fight. The girls were closing in when Siren reached for her Kunai, and Ona suddenly lunged without prior warning at Siren. Siren's muscles had tensed in preperation for her flight movement, but they soon relaxed when her optical nerves revealed that Ona had faltered, and was now stopped, astonished after stumbling a few steps. Siren followed her baffled gaze to a disturbed lunchbox, it and its content splayed across the floor. The girl with the accent, that delicate pale little Chinadoll girl had stood up, and smiling pleasantly, so pleasantly it was eery, carried herself with dignity over to where the group was standing.

None of the girls risked moving, or even breathing, and the flow of life seemed to wane itself as the girl's footsteps echoed throughout the deafening silence. Siren didn't speak either, though unlike the others in the class, she took the first opportunity to move, darting out of that group as nimbly as her legs would allow her.

“And I’m assuming vou will pay for vis?” The girl's smile widened, and Ona, though she towered over her a full head taller, began to intuitively quake. Siren couldn't believe it. These girls who had been sniffing her out so mercilessly, with wanton disregard for her life, were now all quivering statues of human jell-o, watching the girl uneasily for her next move.

After much stuttering adn stumbling, and an embarrassing attempt at a broken apology, the foreign girl had had enough, and decisively stepped forward, now too close for comfort to Ona, who despite her advantage in height and breadth was ever falling backwards in an attempt to escape being close to the girl she feared.

"Children who vare bad vill be punished. vou aren't bad, are vou?" Ona's eyes bulged, obviously petrified at what was obviously an attempt on the part of the foreign girl to remain calm.

"Vour lunch. I will take it vas compensation vor your clumsy mistake." Siren cheered up, and though she didn't want to look smug or like she underappreciated the interference of the foreign girl, even though her interference was only a coincidence, winked at the girls before taking her leave and making a clean getaway. As the foreign girl continued to dominate and intimidate, effectively managing to comandeer a rather large swag of lunches from the now empty-handed and defeated group, Kohana, late on the scene as always, skidded into the picture.

"There you are, Siren-chan! Causing more trouble I see." Siren laughed easily, the creases at the corners of her eyes picking up slightly, an indication that the laughter was genuine.

"These girls are a fierce lot. They act like there's only one worthy male capable of reproduction in this whole village." About this time, Siren happened to look around at the rest of the menagerie that made up the indigenous male population in the classroom. A male who was mostly veiled by his jacket appeared to be having a rather philosophical in-depth conversation with a fly buzzing around his head, another, this one in strange posession of a dog, growled, actually bared his teeth and growled, at a random passerby who had accidentally knocked against his desk and disturbed him from sleep, another one, Oh God.. Siren could hardly look at him. This one reminded me of a whore movie featuring an inconspicuous Blob that consumed everything in sight, and the only one who could possibly even challenge Sasuke in regards to look and physical sex appeal, a blonde boy in an orange jumpsuit, was systematically picking his nose. Siren laughed again, this time in disbelief.

"You know Kohana, I'm starting to think they're right. I have slim pickings this time around."

"And you're Akita, right?" Kohana asked the foreign girl amiably.

Success! Siren cheered inwardly, feeling as if she had won some sort of silent victory. She had leanrd the other female's name without being similarly maimed, insulted, or embarrassed.

Kohana's mouth was watering as admirably (and perhaps a bit enviously), she eyed the massive swag this Akita girl had scored from the more than generous group of girls.

"That's alot of food. You are are skilled to be able to get them all to give it up like that."

"They were more than generous and willing, Kohana. True scholarly ladies." Siren added sardonically.

" I did no zuch thing. Ze girls just gave me ze food as repayment for spilling mine." Akita replied, her voice ringing as innocently and with as much clarity as a crisp, bright bell, a bold, pleasant acoustic for Siren to enjoy. Kohana excused herself to go obtain her own partially devoured lunch so that she may position it strategically next to Akita's, maybe in hopes of her sharing her plentiful bounty. In the meantime though, she turned to Siren.

"So then, Siren-chan. What fish you after this time?" Siren beamed, delighted to be questioend about her field of expertise.

"Well..." She began, scooping Kai up and clutching the golden bundle of fur to her chest. He, in turn, nuzzled her amiably.

"That one over there, the one sitting alone reading, he is Sasuke Uchiha, of the now extinct Uchiha clan. They were rumored to be the strongest clan in the Leaf village, with some sort of special bloodline ability, and I'm trying to figure out how it actually works, what it takes for it to work, and how in control of it he is." Siren froze then, suddenly acutely aware of Akita's presence in the area. Perspiration had begun to form under her arms, and she cleared her throat to a more bubbly soprano pitch.

"But that's all besides the point. Of course, none of that matters so much as how hunky and gorgeous that Sasuke is. I'm hankering for a piece of dat right now." Siren lied, her eyes moving shiftily to check Akita's reaction, and make sure that she wasn't on to her Spy activities.

Life as a ninja. Empty I am the puppet master, you are my ignorant puppet

Post  TheAlmightyGhostPrincess Thu Jan 20, 2011 8:46 pm

Akita took another bite out of the girl’s lunch and another swish of her “juice”. Siren, once again sat next to her and the other girl quickly followed.

"There you are, Siren-chan! Causing more trouble I see." Siren laughed easily, the creases at the corners of her eyes picking up slightly, an indication that the laughter was genuine.

"These girls are a fierce lot. They act like there's only one worthy male capable of reproduction in this whole village." And Siren began examining the other men in the room while Akita was silently eyeing her new source of amusement.

"You know Kohana, I'm starting to think they're right. I have slim pickings this time around."

"And you're Akita, right?" The other girl asked Akita pleasantly. Akita’s eyes shifted from Siren to “Kohana” and she smiled.

“Indeed I am.” Akita smiled pleasantly. These two were amusing enough for Akita to be at least mildly pleasant towards them at least for the time being anyway. Akita also noticed that Kohana was eyeing he mass amount of lunches as she could see a strand of drool running down the side of her mouth

"That's alot of food. You are are skilled to be able to get them all to give it up like that."

"They were more than generous and willing, Kohana. True scholarly ladies." Siren added sardonically.

" I did no zuch thing. Ze girls just gave me ze food as repayment for spilling mine." Akita replied, “I dislike a majority of girls in vis classroom anyway, they aren’t amuzing enough and I get bored vith them, “Akita said and then gave a yawn.

Siren then turned to Kohana who asked her, “"So then, Siren-chan. What fish you after this time?" Siren beamed. Akita vaguely stopped paying attention; it appeared these two were the same as all the other girls in this classroom. They both had Obsessive Boy Disorder.

"That one over there, the one sitting alone reading, he is Sasuke Uchiha, of the now extinct Uchiha clan. They were rumored to be the strongest clan in the Leaf village, with some sort of special bloodline ability, and I'm trying to figure out how it actually works, what it takes for it to work, and how in control of it he is." Siren froze then, suddenly acutely aware of Akita's presence in the area, "But that's all besides the point. Of course, none of that matters so much as how hunky and gorgeous that Sasuke is. I'm hankering for a piece of dat right now." Siren said, her eyes moving shiftily to check Akita's reaction.

Once again an amused smile returned to Akita’s face, “Strong? I vould tie ropez around vat boy anyday,” Akita kept eyeing Siren with her childishly cruel smile, “Vour promiscuous activitiez var ov no concern to me, Yoshida-san. I actually vind you vuite amusing, it’s not every day that a girl vike you becomez public enemy number vone. Vour antics are amusing to me, so as vong as you continue to provide me with amusment…ve von’t have a problem.”

Akita’s smile turned into an amused smirk, “Vet’s just say…I vike to play puppet master to people vike you. So please…continue vour antics and maybe I’ll make vou my puppet.”

The bell suddenly rang and Akita put all her lunches under her seat as everyone returned to their seats with Akita still wearing the amused smirk as she watched Siren returned to her seat, “Vat’s right my puppet.. Please amuse me.” She whispered.

---

It was time for sparring practice and each person was being paired off. Many of the female kunoichi were looking to pick a fight with Siren.

“Now let’s see…your partner for Siren is-“Iruka was cut off mid-sentence when Akita stepped out of the crowd.

“Me, I vill spar with, Mizz Yoshida,” Akita smiled pleasantly.

As the two entered the arena Akita faced Siren and gave a childish smile, “Just because you are new, Mizz Yoshida, I vill go easy on vou.” And with that command. The fight started.

Life as a ninja. Empty You must be swift as a coursing river. With all the force of a great typhoon. With all the strength of a raging fire.

Post  Umbreongirl Thu Jan 27, 2011 5:56 am

As Siren anxiously cast an expectant look upon Akita, dreading her reaction to Siren's fictitious claim, that blatant lie about Sasuke Uchiha, the purely moronic scrapings of the bottom of the barrel of the gene pool could see that she was nervous. Her legs, spindly and vulnerable, were perfectly tensed, and the short fleshy expanses of her arms didn't look much better. Her fists were clenched, simultaneously defending and retreating, as they were pressed securely across her chestal cavity. Cannibalistic incisors ripped the gaudy flesh of her painted lips, causing a leak, a metallic release into her mouth, and she cringed at the unpleasant saltine taste.

But the unanticipated happen. Rather than calmly call her out on what obviously wasn't an acute interest in Sasuke for his dating availability, Akita only laughed. Okay, so it may not have been the particularly warm, inviting number resonating with comraderie and warmth that would've allowed Siren the comfort of knowing that she was completely off the hook with this girl, but at least if she suspected more about Siren's intentions, she wasn't saying anything out loud in front of her.

"Strong? I vould tie ropez around zat boy any day." The other female boasted, and to Siren's surprise, as she met Akita's gaze, a genuine glitter, a sort of eager dazzle could be detected. The coy, dangerous little smile that seemed to be a trademark of Akita's was still present on her childlike face, and Siren was taken aback by the fact that she seemed to earnestly be enjoying the thought of besting, or belittling Sasuke. Not that Siren could blame him. The boy seemed a little too pompous, a little unimpressive for all the rumors her Sensei, her true Sensei had relayed to her.

Such passion that this girl has. Siren thought once more, this time casually appearing to look at something behind Akita, while still keeping the girl's porcelain face just inside her peripheral.

How unsettling. How in the great Hokage's pajamas am I supposed to charm something whose only interest in me seems to be wanting to rip out my everloving larynx?! Siren thought, panicking at first, but immediately silencing the insecurities in her mind. The girl wasn't vicious. Ruthless. At least she didn't appear to be. Maybe a little guarded, maybe just a taaad bit creepy, but she didn't look as if she could kill anyone. Then again. Tie a rope around his neck? What was that supposed to mean?

"Your promiscuouz activities are ov no concern to me, Yoshida-san. I actually vind you quite amusing. Iz not every day zat a girl like you becomez public enemy number vone." Akita explained, to which Siren had become suspicious. There was no way in hell that a legitimately straight female was encouraging her, to her face, in a most sincere and eager tone, to screw around with her classmates. No way in hell. Was this some sort of cheap trap? Was this Akita more of a master manipulator than siren herself, and trying to lull Siren into some sort of false sense of security?

"Your antics are amusing to me, so long as you continue to provide me with amusement, ve vont have a problem."

"Wow, Akita. You really know how to warm the heart. I'm not sure whether to take this as a compliment or an insult, which you should take as a compliment, because it's not very often that someone can throw me for a loop." Confidentially, Siren winked playfully at Akita.

"Now, tell me." She began jokingly, hoping that Akita would follow along and enjoy her flexibility with Akita's strange statements rather than maul her.

"As a practicing sadist, do you prefer 'master' or 'mistress'?"

Akita's smile only enlargened at the comment, and as she leaned in close to Siren, Siren got the hunch that the fighting primal instincts of each and every creature right now would've carried them far, far away from the bloated grin of this girl. Every creature's instincts but Siren's. Though she felt the unease rising up into her throat like bile, and her heart beat feverishly against her chest like a caged animal, she remained stationary.

"Vet's just say, I vike to play puppet master with people like you. So please... continue your antics, and maybe I'll make you my puppet."

Though Siren felt swollen with unease and discomfort, and riddled with puzzlement, she only nodded once, placing her palms upright and together, bowing sardonically at Akita, a lopsided smile on her face as she stood along with Kohana, the bell ringing maniacally, bidding her go quickly to her seat.

"Will do." She replied, as she didn't have time to relay much else, and besides, even if the rest of the human race had gone extinct and she and Akita were the only ones left of their species, she probably would never find the right words to properly respond to that assumption of Akita's.

"Sorry, Akita." She murmured, in a tone that was anything but apologetic. "I already have a master. And what I hope that you or anyone else will never have to find out is that he'll fight to the death to be the one pulling my strings. Your amusement would precisely come to an end, probably faster than it would take for you to put a rope around Sasuke's neck."

The day had been a "drag", as the young Ninja who had met Siren's acquaintence soon after her friendly little lunchtime titter with Akita would say. He hadn't been the first to scramble into the empty seat conveniently left open next to Siren, one that Kohana wouldn't dare fill because she knew the purpose of Siren leaving space open next to her. When operating in a classroom filled with a gaggle of preadolescent boys, hormones raging and deprived minds wandering, any space left open near Siren was done so tactfully. What these young gentlemen, or rather, what these young barbarians didn't realize was the Siren was just trouting. The seat served as a net, and Siren a clever fishermand as she would pull these boys up from the depths of familiarity and leave them floundering. She had her eye on the biggest, roughest Trout however, knowing he would taste the best.

What she had caught instead had been one much smaller, with far less notoriety. While trying to mask her disappointment that her "net" was clouded with a very lazy, seemingly dispassionate trout, Siren suddenly achieved the brilliant notion that this Shikimaru might not be so useless after all. She was grateful for the long, silent spells between them that ensued owed completely to Iruka-Sensei, which didn't allow for Shikimaru to get to too far into her past, and when Iruka's turned back did allow for a bit of chatter among the students, Siren rapidly filled in the gaps with subtle questions.

"So, uh, that boy over there, the one with the black hair? What's the deal with him anyways? I don't know his name, and I've barely even said a word to the guy. He just handed me my pencil when I dropped it, and these girls went completely apeshit. Any idea why?" and so forth, allowing Shikimaru to interject now and again, making sure to distribute the questions targeting information about Sasuke one to every three inquiries about Shikimaru, and one to every two inquiries about the general environment of the classroom and the town. Siren had managed to pool quite a bit of information from just this one boy, considering Sasuke's apparent mysteriousness, when Iruka suddenly stopped writing on the chalkboard.

"Okay, class. I can see you're getting antsy, so since the weather is so beautiful, I'll allow for sparring practice a little early this week. I know we're supposed to be reviewing for your Graduation exam, but what the hell. An hour of fresh air won't hurt." Iruka laughed, motioning the now very awake young Ninja to follow him as he flung open the sliding wooden door. At least fifty students trotted eagerly after him.

What the good-natured Iruka-Sensei didn't know that approximately half of these excitable Ninja were Kunoichi who had been thirsting for an opportunity all day, since Siren had first caught sight of their shared target, Sasuke Uchiha to thoroughly throttle her. The Mutant Barbie, who was the top contending avenger for her soiled reputation before her deity, Sasuke, stood a couple feet away from Siren and Kohana, pretending to chat gayly with her girlfriends, but more often, pausing to stare down Siren, giving her a repulsed, disgusted look, like Siren was putrid meat, or if she had just seen a photo of Siren giving the fourth Hokage a lapdance or something. Siren only smiled sunnily back in response, waving joyously like the Mutant Barbie was a long lost sister, as opposed to a rotten, corrupt pile of molten dog shit and plastic.

It seemed as if the other girl couldn't stand it anymore.

"Iruka-Sensei, I would like to put in a request to spar with the new girl." She said in a tone as saccharine as sugar, her voice oozing with rushed innocence and questionable intentions.

"I mean, somebody who cares for her success in this class should go a little easy on her for today, while making sure at the same time that she knows that in this village, Kunoichi don't fight in the sewers with shards of glass and rusty knives." She slapped Ona a high five, and as she leered wickedly at Siren, Iruka smiled at the Mutant Barbie doll in return.

"Great idea. You may fight with Kohana, one of our two new transfers. I see by Kohana's smile that you two must be preaquainted. Great then. You will be responsible for showing her the ropes of the Hidden Leaf fighting style, Ana."

"As for our other newcomer, Siren Yoshia--"

"Me. I vill spare vith Mizz Yoshida." Akita, appearing randomly out of the woodwork, offered. She still had that ambitious glint to her eyes, and for a brief moment, Siren felt honored that this girl should take such a budding interest in her. But that all passed when she realized that out of all the Kunoichi and male Ninja, she was promptly being put up to bat with undoubtedly the toughest most competent Ninja in this class. The pressure was on for Siren, who had learned quick from her rescue off the streets, and who had risen to ranks measurable to Kohana's so quick, that Hebei-Sensei had fancied her somewhat of a prodigy student. But Siren had had so much to learn in so little time, and feared that she was barely on a competing level with some of the more promising Ninja of the village. And Akita was one of those she feared as her superior.

The arena was an informal plot of grass that looked to be more suitable as a children's Soccer playing field than a training grounds for future Genin. Nevertheless, Siren was aware that realistically, compared to the sticky situations Ninja often found themselves forced to fight in, these conditions were immaculate. As she and Akita squared off, Iruka and the rest of the class gave them a wide berth, Iruka standing a little bit closer to the action than the others, a whistle balanced delicately on the edge of his lips.

"Keep it clean, ladies. This is a simple spar, and the Janitor's off duty today. I'm not up for mopping any blood off this field."

As if that statement wasn't disturbing enough, Akita looked as if she were practically salivating at the thought of the match getting started. Instead of cowering with fear, Siren flexed the calf muscles in her legs, trying to relax her taut form, bend her knees a little, shake out her arms and square her shoulders. Akita simply stood in place with her pale arms crossed, a devilish smirk telling Siren that all her efforts were futile.

"Just because you are new, Mizz Yoshida, I vill go easy on you." Akita seemed to be taunting her. Siren's green eyes narrowed, and her hands lashed up from their relazed stance at her hips to frame her eyes in a concentrated pose.

"What? It isn't because you don't want to damage your new puppet?" Siren retorted, feigning surprise as experimentally, she kicked up a bit of turf with her new boot.

"I know you're only bothering with me in the first place because you think I'm clueless trash with my head in my pants, but we'll see who gets the last laugh, Akita! We'll see who is laughing her ass off at the other when this fight ends!"

Brave words, and as Siren made the initial move, charging boldly toward Akita, who only kept that eery smile intact and her arms crossed, not even bothering to move in the slightest. As Siren came upon her and swiftly drew her Kunai, wielding it up near her shoulder, the handle pressed tightly against her own body, Akita effortlessly lifted a leg, and as Siren suddenly tried to undo her anticipated charge, tried to take back all the momentum that had been propelling her so rapidly toward Akita, her legs locked up, and she slid only to be knocked back with a burst of backfire from Akita, who kicked her a good ten feet back from her own body.

A little shaken, but with no hesitation, and no mounting fear in her mind, Siren stood, her face streaked with dirt, but this escaping her notice or concern completely. Sasuke watched, appearing apathetic and cool as always, but it was a pitiful front. Siren could tell by the way his eyes followed her desperately, by the way he fidgeted with the hem of his pants that he was watching the fight, and judging her based on it. Siren narrowed her eyes, a sense of purpose filling her, and began her second assault on Akita. She ran nimbly for the girl, and since she came from a greater distance than the last time, she was rewarded with a little bit more speed. Akita yawned, appearing bored, and had lifted the alternate leg this time, though her mistake was clearly in the fact that she was expecting a simple charge from Siren.

The puppet isn't quite as predictable.. Siren thought furiously, in one fluid moment tumbling gracefully over in a cartwheel, and as Akita paused, taken aback, trying to figure out Siren's intentions, Siren landed right side up, in a split second back handspringing into Akita, managing to precisely make contact with her shoulders, and this time be the one to drive her into the ground. This ended with Siren bellyflopping painfully on her stomach, onto the ground. Though her body groaned miserably with the unnecessary hard impact of the earth, Siren jumped up to see Akita already standing, unfazed and watching her still with an expression of amusement.

Akita chuckled, shaking her head with a smile at how winded Siren was, how touseled her hair, and how red in the face she seemed, as compared to herself, who hadn't broken a sweat or even distrubed a single hair on her head.

"Zis iz embarrassing. " She announced flatly, walking away. "And zough you do not deserve to win, I promised to take it eazy on you, Yoshida-cha. Besides." And at this, she paused. "Vhat vould be ze point? It iz obvious to everyone here that I vould vin. Ve have established zis time and time again. You are not a vorthy competitor." And with this, Akita appeared to be walking home.

Siren, on the other hand, had never been so insulted or livid in her entire life, not when she was shorted of change time and time again from cheap men who took advantage of her thin, wiry stature, not even when her body had been betraying her, devouring itself out of hunger. She clenched her fist until her fingernails dug painfully into her palm, and though she tried to contain it, though she tried to obey Sensei's orders and remain inconspicous, she erupted.

"Get back here and fight me, Akita! Get back here and fight me NOW! If you leave, you concede defeat! No cheap, pompous scapegoats! You're not listening to me! AKITAAA!" Siren raged, but to no avail. Akita only kept walking, her back turned the whole time to her bewildered class. Siren bit her lip once more.

Screw Sasuke Uchiha, Hebei-Sensei. You might want to be watching out for this Akita from now on!

Life as a ninja. Empty 1.3 Sparrig time

Post  TheAlmightyGhostPrincess Fri Jan 28, 2011 2:40 am

"What? It isn't because you don't want to damage your new puppet?" Siren retorted, "I know you're only bothering with me in the first place because you think I'm clueless trash with my head in my pants, but we'll see who gets the last laugh, Akita! We'll see who is laughing her ass off at the other when this fight ends!" Siren got ready for a charge.

It was too head on, she was full of openings, maybe Siren wasn't as competent as Akita thought. She was just another ordinary kunoichi, a bit more skilled then the rest of the whores she called her classmates but in the end she was just another part of the ignorant masses in the leaf village. Siren launched upward and was aiming a kunai at Akita's throat, Akita only stood there, if one did not know she was a living person one would mistake her for a china doll. Just as Siren had descended upon Akita with a kunai knife Akita easily dodged the knife and delivered a kick to Sire launching her at least ten feet back.

"Too many openingz, Yoshida-san." Akita said coolly.

Once again Siren was charging at her full force, it really wasn't going to do Siren much good if she just kept running at Akita, there same thing would happen. Akita got ready to deliver another kick to Siren when the girl pulled something unexpected. Siren did a graceful cartwheel and then delivered a back handspring kick to Akita shoulders pushing her to the ground but Siren too landed flat on her belly and let out a loud, "OOF"

Akita had seen enough, she was bored. She got up and brushed the grass off her dress, she watched as Siren got up, out of breath and hair a mess. Akita let out a loud laugh ad then had smiled, "Zis iz embarrassing.

Siren sounded absolutely furious,"Get back here and fight me, Akita! Get back here and fight me NOW! If you leave, you concede defeat! No cheap, pompous scapegoats! You're not listening to me! AKITAAA!" Siren raged, but to no avail. Akita only kept walking, her back turned the whole time to her bewildered class.

"You vant a fight?" She said and turned to Sire, "Vou are a joke. I thought you vight be vorthy ov zome use, but you are vike the rest of theze igorant whores. Vour not trash, vour boring, vich I consider worse zan trash. At least trash iz interesting." Akita gave a childish smirk. Siren looked absolutely furious. She wanted nothing more than to ring Akita's neck more than likely.

But if she wanted a fight, she would give her a beat down. A girl like this needed to be put in her place. With lightning speed Akita appeared behind Siren a kunai to her neck, "Never vet down your guard in front ov an enemy, it's to easy to slash your throat." Akita gave her a swift kick down to the ground, only to pick her up again by the collar and flung her like a rag doll across the field. Siren got to her feet and lunged at her, Akita swiftly dodged and grabbed her arm and had her completely trapped, "Vou are veak." She simply stated as Iruka ordered her to let go of Siren, "Vat vas me going eazy on you, if I had decided to use ninjutsue, you'd easily be dead." Akita then turned her back and left for home, contemplating what to eat for dinner.

---

The week passed uneventfully, after Sirens first day Akita and her had no reaction what so ever and it went back to eating lunch alone staring at her sensei's grave ad idly doing homework on her own. She had lost interest in Siren all together and had no desire to even make her a puppet. Akita had no desire to make friends with her teammates or whatever poor saps were stuck with her.

No one really cared anyway. Humans really were only out for themselves, herself included but she wasn't quite sure what she wanted either, all she knew is that people were only pawns to her.

"Alright class, it's time for your exam, line up. You are to make a perfect clone of yourself to pass." Iruka said with a smile as he carried in a stack of papers.

....A clone? That's the requirement to graduate? This was a joke, after all the shit she had gone through to get to this point she only had to make a CLONE? How insulting. Regardless, Akita took her place in line, kept to herself, and waiting for her turn.

When her turn came she did a few hand signs and a perfect clone of herself appeared, but instead of being made of smoke and mirrors it was made of ice but one couldn't tell the difference between the two. She still passed and took her seat, she wasn't to interested in the days happenings after that.

At the end of the test they were given a leaf headband, but Akita refused to wear a leaf headband. Instead she secretly switched the headband with a different one. Instead of a intricate leaf design this one had an elegant snow flake design. Akita removed her dollish headband and replaced it with the snow headband.

She felt more at easy wearing a headband from her village rather than the wearing one from the village that ruthlessly slaughtered her family and friends.

At the thought, Akita shuddered. That memory was still haunting her, but all she could do was repress it and move on, dwelling on the past was no way to go about life. Eventually the memories of that day would disappear...

..Hopefully.

"I will now be pairing you up in 3 man teams." Iruka's voice brought her back from her thoughts. He was reading the Squad names over. What came next surprised her, "The ext squad will be Kohana, Siren, and Akita."

"Vell izn't thiz an unexpected suprize.."

Life as a ninja. Empty All the things she said, all the things she said running through my head.

Post  Umbreongirl Fri Feb 04, 2011 4:54 am

This is not enough.

Siren's head hung low. Dejected and humiliated, her back slumped, she carried herself through the Leaf Village in a daze, her eyes filled with an intoxicating sort of dread, her very presence seeming poisoned with lowly defeat and self-hatred. She hobbled along like a crippled, battered, abondoned bitch, and hated herself even more for it. Orochimaru's coveting of her, cradling her close and keeping her secured like prized pet hadn't done her much good. Now every inch of her body ached, and even worse, Sasuke Uchiha, her designated target, had seen her become subject to a cruel smackdown. Though people in the Leaf village hardly afforded her a passing glance, much too immersed in their own bustling affairs to wonder too heavily about the strange, foreign girl dragging herself through their streets.

"Vou are a joke. Vou are a joke. Vou are a joke. Vou are a joke. Vou are a JOKE."

And Siren shivered, withdrawing completely into herself, cursing having to walk this long, empty street to get to her destination. How could she appear appealing, how could she act provocative, mysterious, cool, and charming when she felt so... so utterly defeated? Thankfully, nobody of any special interest happened to be passing her by, just civilians, and so it hardly mattered if she looked like a drowned rat. Still.. Looking this bedraggled and beaten, Siren's self-respect was rapidly plummeting. Self-consciously, she pulled a shaking hand through her grimy, mussed hair, crudely using her fingers as a comb. It was at this moment that she felt an enthusiastic tap on her shoulder.

Her veins ran cold at the unexpected physical contact, and her first thought was that somebody was trying to proposition her. Had somebody from the Sound Village recognized her? Siren's heart sank, but she had vowed not to go back to that. Not to ever, ever use her body to benefit anyone but her master. A defiant light coming into her eyes, she whirled around, pivoting on one of her shiny new boots. She was taken aback when she recognized Naruto Uzumaki, a fellow Ninja at the Academy. He must've been taken aback as well, because when he noticed the fierce defensiveness of her gaze, he immediately backed off, his big blue eyes enlargening, a characteristic of his Siren had observed when expressing sincerity or surprise. Her eyes softened, becoming less angular, the sharp lines disappearing, and she was at a loss for what to say. Naruto had caught her at a bad moment, but so what? He was the class clown. Why keep up appearances for him?

"Look, if you're needing directions, I'm new here. If you've come all the way out here just to ask me out on a date, this really isn't a good time. At all. Or were you too busy lollygagging to even notice my fight?"

Naruto held a hand up, waggling it sheepishly. He put a hand behind his head, at the base of his neck, a general behavior of most humans, a submissive gesture, one to show that one's intentions were friendly. Siren began to regret being so snarky, so she sighed, hoping that her weariness would suffice as an excuse.

"You've got the wrong idea!" He proclaimed, moving closer to her, and extending a hand to rest amiably on her arm. Siren felt panic again, and had to swallow down the impulsive urge to break his wrist. Instead she stood awkwardly, examining the boy expectantly.

"I just.. Well.. wanted to tell you not to feel bad, that's all. You're not the only one to ever lose to Akita. I know it's hard, especially you being new and all, and you're brave for fighting her! Believe it! But Akita is supposedly the best. The best in our whole class. Even better than Sasuke. But..."

And here Naruto trailed off, his cerulean eyes enlargening again, and now that Siren was reassured of his intentions and somewhat enthralled with his speech, she met his gaze, peering at him earnestly.

"But I won't believe it. You would laugh if I told you how many times I've lost in spars to them both, so I won't. But she was wrong. You are not a joke. And they're wrong about me, too. I'm not a joke either. I'm strong, and going to be Hokage! Believe it! And I know you're strong too. Maybe not physically, but you won't give up, will you? You won't give up, Siren?"

Siren's eyes had become a little misty, and in one fluid movement, she turned so as not to face Naruto. She felt a warm sensation alight in her chest, and she knew that if she continued this conversation, it would only be kindled, like a fire. So after savoring it one long moment, she choked it off. Despite doing what she had to do though, she was grateful to this boy.

"Thank you, Naruto. You're right, you know. I won't give up. I won't stop fighting. Because that.. that is what I came here to do." Nodding at him and clapping him briefly on the shoulder, a very subtle and conspicous appreciation that he would never understand, she turned, and continued on her way, and though he probably never noticed, walked with her head a little higher and her step a little surer than she had before.

Siren had finally reached her destination. The Leaf village forest. During the bright, hot hours of the day, this place was apparently Sensei and opponent alike for Ninja of all skill and classification to train. It was equally as common for the Ninja, when they weren't in the Academy or on a mission, to wake up early in the morning and come here, to the forest, to stake out the best clearings for training before others came. For some reason though, the Forest was eerily vacant here in the early evening, a time when Siren supposed those young Ninja began to forsake their training and anticipate Dinner instead.

Good. She thought, breathing easier that she hadn't spotted a single sign of any human activity since she had entered the forest. For if somebody should stumble unintentionally across what was about to transpire on his way home for dinner, his guard completely down, she knew she would have to kill him. As much as she hated spilling innocent blood, if it be her master's bidding, then that fellow be dead already within her mind. As she stood, attentive and receptive, waiting for him, Siren began to think about how this forest, esteemed and honorable, a famous and very celebrated feature of this village, had darker undertones. The slayings it had witnessed, the criminals' faces it had disguised, and would be disguising today from its oblivious protectors. A bit like her. She wasn't esteemed and honored, but she was coveted. A jewel with dark undertones.

You wouldn't want me if you knew how I was made..

"Well, aren't you just a sight for sore eyes.." A voice purred mockingly. Siren relaxed, and looked around, noticing him appearing, a sinewy, shadowy Siamese twin splitting off from a Tree Trunk some feet to her east. Siren fell to her knees, bowing humbly.

"Stand up." He ordered curtly, and she stood, slowly, whereas she was usually quick to attention. She grimaced dramatically as she felt her back knot up.

"It seems as if our little songstress got a taste of reality today. Oh, right. I should first be asking how school went." The man laughed mockingly, a sinister, sadistic laugh. Siren said nothing, waiting only his orders obediently.

"Enough of the jokes. Tell me, Siren. Were you of use today? Did you serve your purpose? What do you know of this Uchiha boy I ordered you to watch? Please don't tell me he did this to you."

"I was able to make contact with Sasuke Uchiha." Siren admitted. "He expressed interest in me, and though we haven't spoken, I've caught him looking at me in class periodically. There is definitely curiosity, if nothing else.."

In a furious flash, Orochimaru was in front of Siren, his teeth gritted menacingly, struggling to maintain control.

"It better be more than curiosity, Siren. For this fortune I'm spending on you and Kohana, putting you up in your own apartment, buying you quality supplies, allowing you formal Ninja training, you better have that boy wrapped around your pretty little finger, desperate for your love by the time our plan is executed."

"If I may say so, Lord, that is more than sufficient time. He is self-interested, like every single one of them thusfar. And not only is he self-interested, he seems self-obsessed. He will be quite easy to crack."

A slow, pleasurable smile spread on the man's chalky face, and lowering his gaze to the forest floor, his sallow eyelids closing, this being a facial gesture of acceptance, the man nodded.

"Very well, Siren. This is your first day, and to make contact I suppose is to do well. But your appearance worried me. Who did this to you? You can't be seen in public looking like this."

Siren winced. She knew she should've tried to make more of an effort cleaning up on her way here, but especially after Naruto's costly distraction, she hadn't had any time.

"A Kunoichi by the name of Akita. We were sparring, and she skilled me in Taijutsu. It just seems that I'm not quite competent.."

"Inexcusable!" Orochimaru hissed, and that chilling, hypnotizing look flashed in his eyes.

"To attract the Uchiha boy, you must be the best of the best, Siren. I don't care how hard you have to stay out working, and how much of a toll it takes on you. You must stay at the top of the competition. Now I must return to the Sound village. Do not, and I emphasize, Do not fail in battle again."

Siren bowed her head. "Yes, Lord..."

-One agonizing, blistering week of training later-

Siren held the smooth, cold metal beneath her hand. It was nothing new to her, yet for something she had held between her thumb and her index finger dozens of times before, for Siren, this headband signified a fresh new start.

"Turning over a new leaf.." She thought, and the simple pun as she examined the Leaf engraving made her smile to herself. The exam itself was hardly worth mentioning. A simple Shadow Clone. Most everyone in the entire class had passed. Everyone except.. except Naruto. Remembering what Naruto had said to her the other day had plucked at one of her heartstrings, and she had intended to go find him to say something, anything to him so that he didn't feel so.. so shitty.. But as she traced her finger through the cold, soothing Leaf engraving, her attention was snagged by something pertaining directly to her. She stopped immediately, and glanced up, immediately attentive.

Iruka-Sensei's voice emerged over the excited chatter of his students.

"I will be pairing you up into three man teams." Iruka announced, as if it wasn't obvious. None of the students cared about this petty information, they just wanted to know who!

"I hope I get Sas-kay on my team..." Sakura sighed dreamily, her hands wringing themselves nervously as she inconspicuously looked over at him. She might have thought she was being stealthy by him not looking back, but in reality, and Siren could see this, he was deliberately giving her the cold shoulder.

So do I.. Siren thought desperately, realizing that if she didn't, her opportunity to charm him would be cut severely, making her extracurricular time devoid of anything enjoyable, and forced to focus completely on endeavors to woo him.

"The first Squad will be Kohana, Siren... and Akita."

"You're kidding me, right?!" Siren snarled, though she really hadn't meant to draw so much attention to herself. It wasn't wise, after all, in a group of girls who so passionately wanted to fry Siren live. Especially not with her mission.

"GOD. Why couldn't you just stick me with the lardass?!" Siren lamented, gesturing at Choji, who seemed highly offended. Dramatically, Siren narrowed her eyes and gave Akita a heated, challenging stare, to which Akita only reciprocated with a cool, taunting gaze.

It's okay, it's okay. Breathe. What, didn't have enough ass kicking the first time? Do you want to come back for seconds?

Siren asked herself, forcing herself to look away from Akita.

At least you have Kohana...

Iruka-Sensei finished reading off the names of the teams, and once he had, he explained that they would be led by a mentor, a Jounin Sensei of sorts to guid them and hone their powers. They would meet their Senseis first thing in the morning, and each Squad was assigned to a different classroom. The Sqad would wait together. Together. Together.

Siren winced. Her and Akita alone in a room together, not ideal. Especially since Siren had been tactically avoiding her all week. But if push came to shove, Kohana would be able to mediate. She would be able to keep the peace, right? Right?!

Life as a ninja. Empty Yuji SU

Post  AKnightShallCome Fri Feb 04, 2011 3:28 pm

(Thanks for letting me get in on this, I like whats been goin on thusfar! My SU is incomplete, I don't have the history done just yet. Everything else is though, so I'll post what I got now and then edit in the history within the next couple days.)

Name: Yujihiro Tumota

Nickname(s): Yuji, Tank, and The Hidden Leaf Ogre

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Height: 6'7

Weight: 280

Eyes: Dark Brown

Hair: Bald.

Appearance: Massive. Some people speculate that he has bloodlines from lands far away from this one which contributes to his large stature, however he still sports the tell-tale facial structure and name of this land, so who knows? Littering his bulging muscles are many scars. A man that size tends to be a little slow and have more difficulty in dodging the blows of others. To compensate, someone would surely notice a particularly interesting set of scars. These scars seem to be patterned horizontally up and down his body, permanent remnants of his pain endurance training. Being tactically oriented, Yuji keeps his head shaved and wears minimal clothing, usually just his Jonin vest, gloves, slacks, and a sash around his waist to keep said trousers up. He may look very intimidating at first glance, but he has relatively gentle eyes behind that hard outer shell.

Clothing: As stated before, Yuji wears relatively little in regards to clothing. Loose clothes can often be grabbed and thus, a tactical disadvantage. So, his outfit is usually limited to his jonin vest (undone), slacks, and a sash around his waist to hold his pants up. Each of these clothes are relatively simple in appearance too. The slacks are black and white, the left leg and hip being white and the right side being black. The sash around his waist is a deep, crimson red. His headband is custom made to be a bit larger, which he keeps tied around his considerably big left bicep. His gloves are black and fingerless with silver metal plates over his knuckles. On the inside of the glove, there is padding behind the plates to prevent damage to his hands whenever he punches. Lastly, the gloves extend all the way back to his elbows and lace up on the underside. On top of his forearm in the glove, steel plates run which he typically uses defensively. He usually keeps his feet barefoot where possible, but sometimes it would just be silly to not wear shoes. Whenever he NEEDS to cover his feet, the traditional sandals suffice.

Personality: Yuji's personality is very multifaceted, it all just depends on who and what you are in relation to him. If you're his pupil, he will seem to be the biggest, most uptight asshole you'll ever meet as he expects nothing but greatness from all who he takes under his wing. He accepts no weakness in either mind, body, or spirit. He believes that all things are conquerable with enough strength in either (or sometimes a combination of them) of these three fields. He feels there is no limit to human potential and that everyone can achieve this almost god-like degree of excellence with hard work, perseverance, and discipline.

If you're his friend, then you will have a man who is almost completely opposite of that “hardass” his students will see. Yuji loves his friends and to hear them laugh or see them smile is the biggest drug he could ever feel, so he is often times seen goofing around or cracking jokes to make them happy. Loyalty also comes with that sacred ideal of self-discipline; so if you should befriend Yuji, you've come to find the most loyal friend you could find. However, he's not afraid to stand against you should you be doing wrong. He may be loyal, but by no means is he a “yes” man. He will tell you what he thinks is best and the truth, regardless of whether or not it's what you want to hear.

If you should be his foe, then you will find a most unique opponent, philosophically speaking. Yuji, having grown up the way he did, isn't a gigantic fan of violence for the most part. So, his personal way of life in regards to conflict is this: talk rather than fight. If he must fight, then hurt rather than maim, and maim rather than kill because all life is precious and shouldn't be taken unless it cannot be avoided.

History: (to be filled in later)

Fighting Style: Yuji is a Taijutsu specialist but doesn't feel completely beholden to it. It would be foolish to COMPLETELY forsake Ninjutsu or Genjutsu after all. Relatively speaking, he has a unique approach to Taijutsu. As his history demonstrates, he's more of a grappler than a brawler. Grappling is a good way to immobilize your enemy and prevent the bloodshed he hates, not to mention to take advantage of his large size and immense strength. However, this can't always be used, so he will brawl in favor of nin or genjutsu.

Life as a ninja. Empty ...Seriously?

Post  AKnightShallCome Sat Feb 05, 2011 4:34 am

“mmmm... nothing quite like a nice soak to relax tired and sore muscles...” Yuji's deep voice carried out over the relatively abandoned bathing houses. He was leaning back against some rocks and just relaxing in the soothing hot springs. A full day's work of finishing up a B ranked mission, lifting weights, doing the various lifting chores that the townspeople needed of his giant stature, oh and all the eating. The eating saps your energy the worst! He leaned his head back onto the rock and, closing his eyes, placed a warm towel over his aching forehead where a huge gash was just recently stitched up by a particularly attractive medic kunoichi. They always seemed to gawk and marvel at his huge size... you'd think they'd get used to it by now with how many times he needed to get sew back up. He felt like a damn quilt!

After a couple of minutes, the water was disturbed by someone else getting in. He opened on eye lazily to be greeted by the ceiling above. To see who the newcomer was, he rolled his head more than lifted it and his eyes widened. Apparently, the newcomer was that kunoichi from before, her long, dark hair pinned back into a bun. The steamy water had just concealed her breasts before he could get a good look. In that moment, he cursed his stroke of laziness... Wait a tic... aren't there supposed to be separate facilities for the different genders? He took the washcloth off his forehead and lifted a hand out of the water in a “wait a moment” fashion. The kunoichi giggled and waved at him with a big smile. Her eyes had a devilish glint to them, one that he hoped the younger boys wouldn't get until they were a smidge older. There was no question of a matter of mistake, she intended to be here. Yuji's face contorted into a grin just as devilish as the woman's eyes.

“So... what bring you to my neck of the... woods?” She giggled at his little innuendo and slid a little closer to him, still a good six feet away. Her motion displaced some steam and he could see a bit of her supple form. The Hidden Leaf Ogre approved. Hell, he even started to wonder if she was some sort of “sexy assassin” sent here to seduce and kill him. But, he'd need to scope it out a bit first. She leaned her head to the side and pursed her lips some, looking over his body then back up to his eyes, “Well, this late at night...” She scooted a little closer, “all alone...” closer “two adults” closer, she was right up on him now, leaning her naked body against his chest, “What else could I be itching for?” Yuji almost blushed a bit and said, “Damn lady, you move fast...” She put her hand on his strong chest, pressing her self onto him and shifting onto his lap. To his statement, she just winked and said, “Well, I'm here to alleviate a bit more of that... tension... you said you felt back in the hospital...”

Yuji laughed, “I didn't know they still HAD doctors who still do house visits...” He leaned his head back again and let her work her magic. These kunoichi apparently seemed to be fairly adept at using their hands. After a bit she said, “Alright... part of the tension seems to be due to a build up of chakra down near your root chakra point. Allow me to...” She slid down him some, “Assist you...” Even more, her chin just above the water, “In relieving that build up...” And with that, she submerged. Yuji's eyes widened and he put his arms back against the rocks, leaning his head back again and said, “You're the doctor... who am I to question your methods?”

After a little bit of toe wriggling and lip biting he said, “Oh wow... you're good... but don't stop just yet..” He grinned, looking down. Black hair started to rise up again as if to respond... but it stopped a little shorter than the length that it came down. In fact, it was in more of a bowl shape than he recalled. His heart started racing, his eyes widening as he started to realize it was... “GUY!? WHAT THE FU...”

He was awoken by that nightmarish turn of events sitting up in a cold sweat with his heart running a mile a second and his breath keeping right at it's ass. He reached up and wiped his face, triyng to shake off the horror of what just went through his head (toward the foot of the bed, the newest book by Jaraya fell to the floor). The sun was beating down on his eyes from the window, informing him that it would have been waking him up soon anyway. He threw off the sheet and slipped on his clothes, a shudder only familiar with those who are trauma victims, raced up his spine as he tried to repress what just happened as much as possible and swallowing the bit of vomit that came up in the back of his throat. On the bright side... it was time for his morning work out!

After a good three hours of lifting weights and running around the village (obviously after stretching!), he stopped by the ramen shack for a little bit of breakfast. The restaurant owner greeted him warming, “Good morning Yuji, how did this morning's exercise go?”

“Ahhh, as refreshing as usual my good man. My usual, if you don't mind...” he sat down on a stool, always paranoid that they'd break under his large weight.

“Already been working on it. You're like clockwork you know...” To which, they both laughed. Yuji fished into this pocket and retrieved a folded up piece of paper while he waited for his food to finish. He opened it up and retrieved his reading glasses from a vest pocket. Seeing the glasses on his face always made the cook chuckle, to which, Yuji just replied with a certain rude finger.

He had received this paper from the heads of the academy, it was the list of his new students. Akita, Kohana, and some girl simply known as “Siren”. He sighed after reading the provided information about them and put his glasses away, rubbing his bald head and mumbling to himself, “Seriously? Three girls?”

The cook overheard him and replied, “Eh? Whats that?”

“My new students... they're all kunoichi...” The cook put his food down in front of him, “Not that there's anything WRONG with that... I just hope they're not “girly girl” girls... I dunno if I could handle weeks out on missions listening to them gossip about how cute boys are, or complain about how long it's been since they've had a bath...” The cook chuckled and nodded in agreement whereas his daughter, a worker there at the restaurant looked a little offended.

“Pardon me Yujihiro-san, but not all girls are like that you know...” She looked at him a bit angry. Yuji lifted his hands in defense, holding a chopstick in each after having just broken them apart, “Hey hey! As I said, there's nothing wrong with kunoichi... I know not all girls are like that, but you know some are. I've had rotten luck in the past, so odds are I WILL wind up with that sort...” They all just shared a communal chuckle and Yuji finally got around to eating his lunch.

“Well, I hate to eat and run, but I've gotta go meet these girls...” He fished into his pockets and paid for the food, “Delicious as always though... thank you all very much!” He bowed and the cook/owner, who just waved him away. They had built a sort of friendship over the years of him coming there, but Yuji still felt it necessary to show proper etiquette toward him.

The academy wasn't too far from where he was, just a couple blocks away. He might be a few fashionable minutes late, but in the grand scheme of things, he supposed that didn't particularly matter. What's a couple of minutes in the scope of a lifetime? Especially since this isn't a time sensitive mission or anything. Besides, they're beholden to him, not him to them. As he entered the academy, he met Iruka leaving. They waved to each other and Iruka said, “Ahh, heading in to meet your new squad, right Yuji?”

Yuji nodded and smiled, “Yeah... you were their previous sensei, got any insight?” Iruka crossed his arms and rubbed his chin with one hand contemplatively

“Well... there's some animosity between that new Siren girl and Akita. Akita and her sparred and well, Akita flat out humiliated Siren. Akita herself is sort of stand-offish, the loner type, and as you saw by her stats, she's top of the class. Rather large girl and has a rather intimidating presence to the other students. I'm sure you know all about that sort of thing Yuji. Kohana is new too and seems like a pretty good student, really eager to learn and get the ball rolling. She sort of a... more competent female Naruto...” they both laughed at this, “Lastly, that leaves Siren. She seems rather bright too. The boys seem to be swooning over her like she's some sort of goddess, as her nickname implies of course, and the girls seem to want to rip her to shreds due to that. From what I've seen she has a pretty good grasp of Ninjutsu but she has a lot of work ahead of her as far as Taijutsu is concerned as you would expect from her smaller frame...”

Yuji interjected by saying, “Ha ha, I'll take care of that... maybe that's why they stuck her with me?” they both chuckled, realizing that probably was the case. Yuji patted Iruka on the shoulder and said, “Well thanks for the insider tips there brother. I owe ya one...”

Iruka waved it off and said, “No, don't mention it. Good luck with your new students Yujihiro!”

Yuji walked in and turned and waved goodbye to Iruka, “Thanks, I'll probably need it!” With that, he strolled to the classroom, in which, held his new students. He paused and took a deep breath, putting on his serious face. Now wasn't the time for his sillier demeanor he shown with his peers, the first impression was the most important after all. They would probably be able to see the outline of his large frame through the simple paper sliding door. He slid it open and had to turn and duck to fit through the frame and sliding it closed behind him.

There before him stood the three kunoichi he would be developing into battle ready shinobi. He walked over to them, after barking his first of many orders, “The three of you, stand in a row...” his deep voice was projected, despite him speaking low. That large body of his tended to allow him to resonate fairly well. Once they complied, he stood before each of them, looking down into their eyes and sized them up. “My name is Yujihiro Tumota... I will be your new sensei.” he said as he stared into the eyes of Akita. He continued to Kohana and said, “I will tell you now, there will be NO nonsense...” He walked to Siren and finished, “Your weaknesses will be transformed to strengths...” (He had no idea how these statements actually related to their personal lives, mind you. Just coincidence) He stepped back away from them and looked to each of them again with the sternest expression that he could muster.

“You WILL hate me... I'm not here to be your friend. It's my job to turn you into the fiercest ninja this village has ever seen! You will bruise, you will bleed, and your bones will even break! But after all that forging is said and done, you will be the best there is, was, and ever will be. This... I will promise you...”

However hard he may try to be as stern as he can... there was still a gentleness behind his eyes that he just couldn't seem to get rid of. He hoped they didn't catch onto that... or else they may completely lose respect for him as their sensei and think he's someone they could walk all over. After a lifetime of being bullied and picked on, there was no way he would let that happen again... especially not students...

Life as a ninja. Empty Re: Life as a ninja.

Post  TheAlmightyGhostPrincess Sun Feb 06, 2011 7:16 pm

"You're kidding me, right?!" Siren snarled. Akita only let out an amused smile and began playing with a lock of her hair. Akita didn’t really care who she was paired with, she had no intention of making friends with her teammates. Akita would only have to deal with until the Chunin Exams came along and she could finally be rid of the two incompetent idiots for a good.

She twisted the lock of her hair around her finger and continued to watch the scene unfold, "GOD, why couldn't you just stick me with the lardass?!" Siren lamented, gesturing at Choji, who seemed highly offended. Dramatically, Siren narrowed her eyes and gave Akita a heated, challenging stare, to which Akita only reciprocated with a cool, taunting gaze.

Akita had no intention of letting her emotions get the best of her in a situation like this, instead, she offered a snarky response, “Vou are only making a vool ov vourself, Siren-chan.”

--After some time—

Akita sat in the upper right corner as always while her two teammates waited impatiently for their new sensei to arrive. Akita really would never regard this new person as her, “Sensei” he was probably just some incompetent Jounin. Akita disliked incompetent people who didn’t know their place.

Which is probably why she held some dislike for Siren, she seemed highly overated to be a kunoichi.

Akita let out a sigh and stared silently out the window, but then turned her attention to her two teammates, Kohana was blabbering on about some nonsense while Siren was silently giving her an irritated glare.

“Siren-san, iv you keep looking at me zat way your vace vill freeze zat way, and vithout a pretty vace how elze vill vou get by? I mean…vou clearly aren’t az competent az you pazz vourself off to be.” Akita gave her a childish smile.

She really loved pissing people off to the point that they wanted to smack her. It gave her a warm feeling inside.

This is when a rather large man entered the classroom; Akita’s first impression was that he was strict, hardworking and hard-headed. A perfect person to harass, but Akita would have to use a more subtle manner. If he thought he was going to scare her, he was clearly mistaken.

“The three of you, stand in a row...” his deep voice was projected. Akita stood up and lined herself up with her team mates, the ever so childish smile never leaving her face, he wasn’t scary to her, not in the least, “My name is Yujihiro Tumota... I will be your new sensei.” he said as he stared into the eyes of Akita. He continued to Kohana and said, “I will tell you now, there will be NO nonsense...” He walked to Siren and finished, “Your weaknesses will be transformed to strengths...”

Akita continued to smile pleasantly; somehow she took amusement in this man, and was quite glad to have him as her sensei, at least he wouldn’t be boring.

“You WILL hate me... I'm not here to be your friend. It's my job to turn you into the fiercest ninja this village has ever seen! You will bruise, you will bleed, and your bones will even break! But after all that forging is said and done, you will be the best there is, was, and ever will be. This... I will promise you...” Yuji said sternly.

“Vell, it zeemz vour reasoning iz a bit…vlawed. Zenzei, iz being ze best measured by physical strength or emotional strength, I vould like to know. Iz it ze ability to beat your enemies down vithout a zecond thought or vou can cooly vatch as vour comarades die before vour eyes. Iv vour reasoning iz like this zen I might az vell be a Jounin right now.” Akita said a childish smile never leaving her face, “Because I have alvready murdered my zizter..” Akita said with a chuckle, "Juzt kidding, I don't have a zizter."

Kohana's jaw had dropped, and Siren's face had wrinkled in disgust, "That's not funny joke, Akita." Akita merely smiled at Siren. This certainly was going to be fun.

Life as a ninja. Empty I don't really care if I'm nothing in your eyes; it's no surprise to me.

Post  Umbreongirl Wed Feb 23, 2011 5:04 am

After a vexing confinement to a smaller classroom, where it was firmly ordered by Iruka-Sensei that Siren, Akita, and Kohana sit to await their instructor IN SILENCE and set at least ten feet apart from one another, Siren found that the easiest thing for her to do was to sit facing forward at the front of the classroom, and to keep her gaze directed to the Chalkboard. Unfortunately for Siren, as self-disciplined as she might have been before her little untimely match, her mind would not allow for such passive compliance.

Who does that persnickety little Toad think she is, anyway? I could give two shits less if she IS the top student in our graduating class. We have slim pickings in here. Yeah, slim pickings are the only reason Akita has garnered so much respect from everyone anyways. They just haven't seen the fullest extent of my power yet and once they do--

“Siren-san, iv you keep looking at me zat way your vace vill freeze zat way, and vithout a pretty vace how elze vill vou get by? I mean…vou clearly aren’t az competent az you pazz vourself off to be.”

Oh shit. Was I staring again?! Mission abort, mission abort! A dissonance of warning bells had gone off in Siren's head, and while the apathetic strictly logical voice in her head calmly told her to nonchalantly look away from Akita, as if she hadn't a care in the world, as if she hadn't even heard her, to instead examine her cuticle or the pencil on her desk and act as it was the most interesting, riveting thing she had ever seen, Siren instead chose to follow her immediate, irrational instinct, which was to leap from her seat, and point a vindictive finger out at Akita.

"Let it freeze then, A-Ki-ta!" Siren called out sudo-maliciously, drawing the syllabals in the opposing girl's name out in a mocking manner. Her eyes flashed defiantly.

"Even if it does, and I end up looking like a retarded Beaver, it will still be infinitely more appealing than yours!" Siren had said the first thing that sprung to her mind, and immediately after, now regretted it. Not only for the most obvious reason that she was only fueling animosity with a teammates with which who she would expect to calmly and quietly participate with, at the very least to only keep her cover intact, but for a more implicit reason, a more moral obligation. It was quite obvious that she wasn't telling the truth. Obvious to the point of humiliation, in fact, because Akita, with the flawless, almost irridescent luster of her skin, with her cascading Cornflower hair the color of the sunshine of dawn, her pretty, symmetrical lips, that calling her anything even remotely insulting could only make the accusor seem either extremely blind and ignorant of traditional beauty standards, or jealous. Siren's cheeks burned, and though she was usually careful to conceal any physical allusion to what she might be thinking, was so perturbed about her heated attack, that she abruptly sat down and faced forward, anxiously staring at the thin paper door, as if her very life depended on the new Sensei's arrival.

Where is this supposed proficient Jounin? It's five after four, and that is five torturous minutes too long spent in a room with a girl whom I loathe! C'mon, Sensei! Anything that you have up your sleeve can't be nearly as painful as this damned silence! Just show yourself already!

And then, as if straight from the silver screen, their new Sensei had arrived. The first thing about this honorable hard-working superb Shinobi Siren noticed was that he was bald. The surprise on her face was blatant, uncensored, and had cropped up before it could quickly be concealed.

"You have no hair..." She stated slowly, the shock still registered upon her face.

And no apparent sense of fashion either. She thought critically, appraising the sun-kissed flesh beneath his green vest, and the casual Khaki slacks he wore to conceal his lower body.

He looks like something straight out of Rambo. Damnit, Iruka. Leave it to you to totally discriminate and give the all-Kunoichi squad the Sensei with the least amount of fashion and the most oblivious to what constitutes attractiveness in a man!

The man cast a stern, appraising look towards the girls, and Siren's spine immediately stiffened, as cold beads of paranoia appeared at her hairline. She dabbed at them warily with the back of her hand, sure that her new Sensei had somehow picked up on her less than welcoming thoughts, and was now dreaming up one thousand ways to repay her for this warm welcome.

"The three of you, stand in a row." He ordered in a deep, bass voice. For a second, Siren sat frozen, uncomprehending of his command. Akita complied with a snort, and Kohana, acting incredibly out of character, perhaps to the sense of urgency and command their Sensei projected through his very formal, very uptight posture, was at the front of the classroom standing attentively before the order had even registered in Siren's mind. Seeing Akita pass her, Siren realized with a sense of panic that if she didn't move now, she would be the last one to fall into line.

I'll be damned in she prove me incompetent again! Siren thought furiously, pumping her fist, as she aggressively pushed past Akita and using her choppiest, most uncoordinated walk, managed to reach Kohana and their Sensei before Akita. Siren beamed, congratulating herself inwardly for meeting her unprecedented challenge. And then she noticed that Akita had fallen in line beside her. Crashing indignantly out of the line and scrambling to stand on the other side of Kohana so that Kohana was now in the middle, Siren, obviously ruffled, cursed Akita for being responsible for her looking bad for not the first, not the second, but the third time since their introduction.

"My name is Yujihiro Tumota... I will be your new Sensei." He informed them, staring at Akita in a manner that commanded instant respect with eyes the color of freshly turned earth. He then moved on to Kohana, mouth setting firmly into a thin line, and, as though he knew the whimsical, oftentimes perplexing immaturity of Siren's best friend, gently warned her "I will tell you now, there will be NO nonsense." He finally reached Siren, and paused. She could tell by his hesitation that he believed he would be delivering some solid, unshakable truth to her, something that she should take to heart, and that applied to her directly. Such unspoken assumptions were a particular pet peeve of Siren's, for people had a bad habit of underestimating her.

"Your weaknesses will be transformed to strength."

But just because Siren's pride didn't necessarily like the blows delivered to it by people's instant assumptions regarding Siren's perceived 'weaknesses' didn't mean that it was bad for her. In fact, the situation benefited her quite well. Siren plastered on a look of pure innocence, sweet, unsuspecting chastity and victimization, appearing weak, pale, and shaking in her boots. When Yuji seemed satisfied with his predictions and turned away from her, Siren smirked, a spark igniting and heating up the crucible of her eyes.

Keep on brushing me aside. Think everyone else the real threat. Letting your guard down for me can only benefit me in the end, Yuji Sensei.

Though Yujihiro Tumota had intended to be fierce and impenetrable, had intended to be daunting but at the same time motivational, Siren could still detect an amiable veil over his eyes. Though his brow was knit in pure concentration and dedication, it was obviously a bit forced, and Siren, the self-proclaimed analytical genius of the nature of people could see that her new Sensei wasn't really threatening, foreboding, or even much of a pusher. What she could tell, by the gentleness bubbling from the bottom of Yuji's heart, occaisonally breaking through the nearly impervious domineering glaze in his eyes was that this was a bit of a front, most likely to comandeer instant respect from his new pupils so that he wouldn't first have to go about the difficult process of breaking their spirits. Her smirk persisted.

Two can play at that game Sensei, and at the end, we'll see whose guise was the most effective.

Iv vour reasoning iz like this zen I might az vell be a Jounin right now.” Akita said a childish smile never leaving her face,as Siren made a blatant show of rolling her emerald eyes in a very exaggerated gesture. “Because I have alvready murdered my zizter..” Akita said with a chuckle, as Siren sighed heavily. "Juzt kidding, I don't have a zizter."

Siren shook her head, her instant and harsh judgment of Akita even more obvious and detectable than her initial criticism of Yuji. Unceremoniously, she glowered at Akita, not really caring for the time being whether Sensei was made aware of her distaste for the controversial girl or not.

"That's not a funny joke, Akita." She spat, as if the words themselves were vile tasting inside her mouth, and she had to abort them as soon as possible.

"Even more, if what you said was true, about you being able to beat down your enemies without a second thought, at the cost or without a second thought given about your comrade's lives, well, that wouldn't make you a Jounin in the least, would it Sensei? It would make you an ex-Candidate of the Ninja training program." Satisfied with herself for saying something decently intelligent, as opposed to her usual half-brained, ill thought responses to Akita's infuriating contributions, Siren calmly crossed her arms, patiently waiting what was to come next.

Life as a ninja. Empty Dear Lord... come on now...

Post  AKnightShallCome Wed Feb 23, 2011 10:19 pm

Inside, he was sighing. A very deep and dejected sigh. These were supposed to be Genin? Well... to be fair... there were some shenanigans back when HE was a genin too... He almost found himself mumbling, "fuckin' Tomo..." but decided against it since it wouldn't make a damn bit of sense in this context. So instead he thought to himself, in the immortal words of Shikaku Nara "What a drag..."

Like nails on a chalk board Akita made her comment:

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her little display of "badassery" which had a buddy in an eye roll. Really now? Was he REALLY supposed to believe that nonsense? He was just about to say something when her little rival Siren beat him to it

"Even more, if what you said was true, about you being able to beat down your enemies without a second thought, at the cost or without a second thought given about your comrade's lives, well, that wouldn't make you a Jounin in the least, would it Sensei? It would make you an ex-Candidate of the Ninja training program."

Yuji crossed his arms while Siren spoke, then when she had finished her statement he said, "Yes, that is correct Siren. But that would be the least of my worries. You would probably also get arrested, and I've even heard of a death sentence under the guise of treason. We go on missions vital to the survival of the village. Even if they DON'T execute you, I'm sure some vengeful member of the victim's family will do so."

He looked each one of them in the eyes down the line, from Siren, to Kohana, then to fall on Akita. The bemused look of amusement from Akita's "chest puff" long since gone, "We are dealing with people's lives here, including your own. These two will probably save yours more times than you can count." he said this and pointed to Siren and Kohana, "So if you're a fan of staying alive, you need to get over your arrogance. You're hardly the strongest person in the world, I could probably kill your right now if I took a notion to." He then looked to Siren, "and you BOTH need to grow the hell up and drop your stupid quarrel. You both wont listen to me, I know how stubborn fools like you two can be. But trust me, I've seen otherwise good people die in battle due to their pride they were too stubborn to get rid of for even their lives' sake."

He started walking toward the sliding door, "Our training will begin this afternoon. Meet on the training grounds just outside of the woods around six in the evening." He looked over his shoulder just before he exited, "If one of you doesn't show up, even if God Himself tells you not to come, the entire squad is getting punished. I recommend eating a hearty supper and perhaps bring some bug spray?" He chuckled and closed the door behind him.

He exited the academy and sent in search of a certain someone. He had a devilish idea to teach them a spot of humility.

Life as a ninja. Empty Well this is unexpected.

Akita smiled pleasantly, although she was feeling some slight irritation, “Like I give a damn about zis village or ze people in it. I am only vulvilling my voster vather’s vishes. To be a great ninja, he never zpezified to me iv I had to care vat people veel,” Akita said bitterly.

Yuji looked down the line of his students his eyes coming to rest on Akita who only returned his look with a subtle glare. She was no longer amused, she was irritated, "We are dealing with people's lives here, including your own. These two will probably save yours more times than you can count." he said this and pointed to Siren and Kohana, "So if you're a fan of staying alive, you need to get over your arrogance. You're hardly the strongest person in the world; I could probably kill you right now if I took a notion to." He then looked to Siren, "and you BOTH need to grow the hell up and drop your stupid quarrel. You both won’t listen to me; I know how stubborn fools like you two can be. But trust me, I've seen otherwise good people die in battle due to their pride they were too stubborn to get rid of for even their lives' sake."

Something inside Akita lurched, “Ze leav zeemz to be a hypocrite about who’s LIVES zey deal with,” Akita clenched her fist and gritted her teeth, “No von haz ever saved me, zo vhy zhould I expect these two to be any different vrom anyone elze? Hm?” Akita’s voice had grown extremely bitter and for the first time in quite a while she was growing angry, and frustrated. The leaf completely disregarded the people in the Land of Snow’s lives so why should she have to give respect to their lives?

“Zuch hypocrisy...” Akita muttered quietly to herself and cast her gaze downward. Somehow she felt completely embarrassed because she had broken her own rule and made a fool of herself in front of the girl whom she’d be chastising this entire time.

After a short amount of silence Yuji started toward the door, "Our training will begin this afternoon.

Akita took in a deep breath and tried to regain her composure but knew that was impossible at this moment, she was so furious she could feel her hands shaking, so instead of further humiliating herself she decided to silently leave and grab some dinner before training. She would eat lightly though because eating a hefty meal right before training? Not a good idea.

-With gentle voices sleeping in the forgotten past-

Akita let out a loud, frustrated sigh as she clutched her groceries in her hand. She had just gotten this months “allowance” to pay for food and housing, it was really the only thing Akita liked about this village; this village gave an apartment and a monthly check to children who were old enough to take care of themselves but were under the age of 18.

So basically the village was paying for everything, her housing, her meals, they paid for everything and Akita didn’t mind a bit. Many of the orphans she had met when collecting their checks felt extremely offended they had to accept money from the village and some even refused to take their money calling it, “pity money.”

Pity or not, the money she got from the village paid for her housing and her meals, the rest of it the money she had was from her foster father’s life insurance he had gotten shortly after he adopted her and that paid for any luxuries she wanted. The rest went away into savings for emergencies only.

Akita took a glance at a neighboring clock, it was four-thirty. Akita still had some time before she had to be at training so she would grab a bite to eat.

Ramen again, because she didn’t really want to poison herself by eating her own cooking. Akita had long grown sick of ramen but eating a food she was tired of was better than poisoning herself with rotten cooking. It wasn’t really that she longed for home cooked meals it was more the fact that she was so God damn sick of ramen that she wished for something new to eat.

She had long since done away with the longing of wanting to eat with someone or coming home to the smell of a warm meal after a long day of playing. Akita was snapped out of her own thoughts when she bumped in to a person.

“Oh I’m sorry I didn’t see vou zer-..Oh it’s vou.” Akita stopped her sentence short and frowned, it was of course, the last person she wanted to see after that whole fiasco in the classroom, it was Siren, the person she loathed above all else at the moment, “Iv you’ve come to rub in how I
looked like a vool in ze clazzroom zave it. I know,” Akita said calmly.

Siren shook her head, “Well that takes all the fun out of it, yah know.” Akita merely stared at her; there was no malice in her voice, not at the moment and then Yuji’s began to ring in her head.

“And you BOTH need to grow the hell up and drop your stupid quarrel.”

Akita let out a long sigh, “Vell, it can’t be helped I guess. I’m about to go have dinner, vould vou like to join me? I just got my voster vather’s insurance money vor ze month so I can treat vou and I know I’ll probably regret it later, probably, but iv vou vant to join me vou like,” Akita said before picking up her groceries, “And don’t get used to zis me being nize thing, got it?”

OOC: Rather sappy and feely, I know and that's what I get or listening to a well voice Regret Message while I wrote it.

Life as a ninja. Empty You're unsuited for the rage of war so pack up, go home, you're through.

Post  Umbreongirl Fri Mar 04, 2011 7:11 pm

Yuji, his arms crossing over his chest, seemingly fueled by Siren's spiteful mini-rant, offered a little bit of his own input in regards to Akita.

"Yes, that is correct, Siren. But that would be the least of my worries. You would probably also get arrested, and I've even heard of a death sentence under the guise of treason. We go on missions vital to the survival of the village. Even if they DON'T execute you, I'm sure some vengeful member of the victim's family will do so."

Instinctively, Siren's eyes glided over to Akita, racing to get an accurate perception of her reaction before she had the time to recover and put on her usual childish veil. She discounted immediately what she saw on Akita's face, that tiny, docile little smile, but perhaps if she had investigated this tiny gesture further, she would've seen that this wasn't your average smile of compliance, or in Akita's case, the smile wasn't merely a symbol to sugarcoat her true feelings. Rather, the smile had a flavor of wickedness to it, just a slight rancid undertone, that gave off the impression of a mask cracking to reveal the hateful snarling mouth of a beast. Instead, Siren went to Akita's bright green eyes, which seemed darker somehow with an injected fury.

"Like I give a damn about ze village or ze people in it. I am only vulvilling my foster father's wishes. To be a great Ninja. He never zpezified to me iv I had to care about how people feel." Akita uttered, quietly, though calmly. Her courage had to be commended, though Siren wondered if Akita also didn't feel a bit foolish at the same time. Her elegance and poise was partially what infuriated Siren about Akita. That though even she, who was usually a master of deception, was able to become rattled by Akita, Akita never seemed to express much notice or concern in what Siren was saying about her.

At any rate, Siren kept her mouth shut, aware of the spiraling tension accumulating between her new teammate and Sensei. The tension was so thick between them, that Siren became antsy in her place in line, and her formerly nonlocomotor body began twitching involuntarily, her arm jerking occaisonally, and her boot tapping the floor approximately in beat with her heart, which pummeled at her ribcage. Yuji cast a vindictive look down the line of Kunoichi, and though Siren, highly sensitive to the emotions of others, was practically wigging out, she forced herself to become motionless, and instead expressed a blank stare.

"We are dealing with people's lives here, including your own." He explained darkly to Akita.

"These two will probably save yours more times than you can count." At this, he afforded a gesture towards Siren and Kohana.

""So if you're a fan of staying alive, you need to get over your arrogance. You're hardly the strongest person in the world; I could probably kill you right now if I took a notion to." Yuji then abruptly looked away from Akita, and over toward Siren, who, at his icey, accusatory stare, felt the blood freeze inside her veins.

"And you BOTH need to grow the hell up and and drop your stupid quarrel. You both won't listen to me; I know how stubborn fools like you two can be. But trust me, I've seen otherwise good people die in battle due to their pride they were too stubborn to get rid of even for their own lives' sake."

Again, Siren was at a loss for words, as she mildly contemplated what Yuji was telling them, manipulated the concept of caring for another. For most of her life, Siren had been fending for herself. Some trying to glorify her destitute situation might have said that she was selflessly sacrificing herself, body and spirit, for her family's sake, but that couldn't be further from the truth. If Siren would've had a choice in the matter, if her younger self hadn't felt intimidated and bullied by her mother into doing what she had done, then she would've run as far away as her legs could've carried her. The one she served, Orochimaru, she served through fear and contract. And even Kohana, who it might have been said was her only true sentimental connection to humanity, had been assigned to be her friend. If Orochimaru suddenly ordered it differently, Siren was sure that their so-called "true" friendship would instantly crumble. As all of this buzzed through her mind, Akita spoke again, quick as a whip.

"Ze leave zeemz to be a hypocrite about whose LIVES zey deal with." Siren could feel the fury pulsing through Akita as pure indications of her anger became evident. Her teeth had clenched, and her fists had tightened into compact little balls, ready to induce a beating.

"No von haz ever saved me, zo vhy zhould I expect these two to be different vrom anyvone else? Hmm?" Akita raged, and for the first time since Siren had met Akita, she felt as if she had been offered a semi-obscured view into the true mentality of this girl, a slight erosion in the walls surrounding this girl's true interior, and though she should've memorized the reason for this break-down, instead, Siren found herself flooded with sympathy for Akita.

"Zuch hypocrisy.." Akita added quietly, and though she had probably uttered it operating under the assumption that nobody could hear her, Siren took notice. She may have been the only one listening, but she took note of Akita's anguish, and though she was still moved toward sympathy for her teammate, also began subconsciously probing this quiet suffering, wondering the reason for it. Whilst she stood thinking to herself, and since Akita had gone quiet, the defiance stifled in her for the time being, Yuji, sporting so much maturity and professionalism in the situation that Siren just wanted to punch him, began another one of his heartfelt speeches.

"Our training will begin this afternoon. Meet on the training grounds just outside of the woods around six in the evening." He looked over his shoulder, already planning a cinematic exit.

"If one of you doesn't show up, even if God himself tells you not to come, the entire squad is getting punished. I recommend eating a hearty supper and perhaps bring some bug spray?" He smiled maliciously, and chuckling with the hint of some sort of sick inside joke, exited the room.

"What a charming and scholarly individual." Siren remarked sarcastically, once she believed Yuji was out of earshot to Kohana, just to break the oppressive silence permeating the air. Kohana offered her a weak attempt at a smile, but Siren didn't even notice, she was trying hard to be inconspicuous in her checking on Akita. But seemingly as soon as she had glanced over at Akita, the girl, strategically moving so that her face was obscured, exited the room. Siren sighed, a massive ordeal that left her body sagging; her shoulders slumped. She knew that she should be hurrying home to rest and eat before their first official training session tonight; if this introduction had been any kind of premonition, tonight would be a doozy. But instead she found herself lingering awkwardly, still torn about this afternoon's events. It was Kohana who spoke next.

"I'm not feeling all that well from my impromptu Lunch feast, Si, so I don't think I'll be cooking Dinner tonight. If you want to go grab a bite to eat for yourself, since I know you're as helpless as a newborn kitten in the kitchen, I'll go to the store to grab some bugspray." Kohana volunteered, obviously trying to make up for her ailment. Siren smiled, comforted by the thoughtfulness of her only friend. Though their apartments were located in the same building, Orochimaru had insisted on seperate living quarters, in obvious anticipation of Siren's risque lifestyle. Not out of any sort of consideration for Kohana's sanity, but because he didn't want her presence to scare off any welcome suitors, namely Sasuke Uchiha. The girls had had an intense wanting to stay together, but aside from the occaisonal permitted sleepover, they spent the nights apart. Even still, Kohana usually cooked for Siren because Siren was useless at that particular domestic task, and it wasn't uncommon for them to eat their meals together. Kohana was such an exquisite cook, it was very rare that Siren even wanted to go out to eat.

Still, they parted ways outside the Academy, and Siren, with Kai, Kohana's little teacup Fox in tow and instructions to feed him, she began meandering around the town. She was in one of those pesky moods where she wasn't quite sure what she was in the mood for, and so though she walked briskly, she let her legs take her whichever direction they fancied, clutching Kai allthewhile. Restaurants and independent stands were cropping up every which way in anticipation of Dinner hours, and Siren paused at a stand displaying that morning's catch, which Kai whiffed appreciatively as his little white mouth salivated. He yipped eagerly, and obliging him, Siren hurried away from the stand of raw fish to the nearest restaurant, feeling the pull of hunger herself. But as she whirled away from the potent stand, she found herself colliding, chest to chest, with another individual. Siren let out a loud, ungraceful "Oomph!", and wide eyed, glanced up at the perpetrator.

"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't see you zer-.. Oh. It's vou." Akita sighed, ending her sentence prematurely, and sounding as if no worse fate could have befallen her than running into Siren casually in the town. After their too-recent awkward encounter in the classroom, Siren wasn't feeling up to outright hostility toward Akita at the moment. As if Akita's emotional uprise hadn't been enough to shock her, now her recollection of Yuji's message weighed on her heart.

"Iv you've come to rub in how I looked like a vool in ze clazzroom, save it. I know." Akita confessed outright, which, for some reason, made Siren's heart lurch in her chest. Siren exhanged a glance with Kai, who, despite his obvious obliviousness to the situation, had a wise, stern look upon his face, like a little furry professor. His expression actually made her feel guilty, so swallowing her abhorrence of Akita, she merely shook her head.

"Well that takes all the fun out of it you know." She joked, trying to make her voice sound light-hearted, and airy. She offered Akita a genuine smile, and then looked back at Kai. He nodded approvingly. Akita let out a long, almost relieved sounding sigh. It seemed that a temporary truce had been drawn between the two of them.

"Vell it can't be helped I guess. I'm about to go have dinner, vould you like to join me? I just got my voster vather's insurance money for ze month, so I can treat vou and I know I'll probably regret it later, probably, but iv vou want you can join me." Akita offered tentatively, before picking up a couple of dropped bags of groceries. Siren nodded eagerly, and this time, she didn't have to try to fake anything. She felt sincerity in this offerance of Akita, and even if it wasn't permanent, a temporary ally in Akita when things were obviously only going to escalate and become much more hellish for them today was nice. She quickened her pace to fall in step with the much longer strides of Akita, her skirt swishing at her gained momentum, and for the first time, walked amiably side by side with her teammate.

"And don't get used to zis me being nize thing, got it?!"

"Of course, of course it's going to be that way!" Siren stammered, caught offguard, to which Kai only slapped his wee little paw to his forehead.

One hour and a somewhat civil conversation later, Akita, after having only picked at her bowl of Ramen, watched Siren scarf down her second. Kai, nestled into Siren's lap, nibbled delightedly upon a Shrimp plucked out of Siren's bowl. Akita, eyes wide in astonishment, watched the lithe, pint-sized girl slurp happily at her noodles. Her aggressive manner of eating had caught the attention of several of the Ramen shop patrons, and they watched her with a mixed sense of horror and disgust. Oblivious to all of this, Siren paused in her dining to pat her stomach, by this point round and bloated. Akita finally spoke.

"Siren-chan, do vou alwayz eat so.. so.. so vorociously?" The girl asked, struggling to apply just the right word. It was then that Siren took notice of how much she had eaten, and flushed.

"Well, considering that this is the only meal I'm actually allowed freedom on, even though I'm technically not supposed to, I usually go all out." She laughed, winking at her dirty little confession.

"Usually Kohana cooks for me, so he can monitor how much I'm eating by the quantity she makes and he knows how fattening it is by what she's making, so this is actually a kind of welcome treat for me." She explained mid-slurp of another mouthful, the expression on her face one of pure and utter delight.

"He?" Akita pressed, and though maybe hadn't meant to wonder aloud, said nonetheless. Siren, caught offguard and for once forced to think quickly to respond, ended up responding deficiently.

"Ah... my caregiver." She offered, and even she was frustrated by the vagueness in her answer. But Akita, knowing the need for personal privacy, didn't press the issue, undoubtedly relieved that Siren hadn't pressed the issue of her foster father, this in part being because Siren had sensed the pain emenating from that particular topic.

"Even still, I vouldn't advise stuffing yourself like zat, Siren-chan. Have vou never trainzed formally before? It iz not vise to have a hearty supper before vou exert your body to exhaustion, zat is something even ve pre-graduates learned in ze Ninja Academy. Ask Iruka-Sensei, or any of ze other teachers. Our Zenzei probably just wanted to see you puke your guts up right on ze field."

This made Siren stop mid-chew, and wrinkle up her face in irritation.

"Ugh, that pig." She muttered, her expression souring as she pictured Yuji's malicious, bemused smile as she heaved up the contents of her stomach at his feet, wagging his finger at her and advising her not to be so naive and trusting next time.

"At any rate, I won't vomit. I'm sure that whatever he has planned for tonight's venue, my body has been through something at least twice as taxing. In fact, be it an obstacle course or that corny teamwork-inducing Bell exercise, I don't think he has it in him to give us anything too particularly exhausting. It is only our first day, after all. He can't be THAT heartless."

The abrupt mentioning of their 'beloved' Sensei had served as reminder for Siren to glance down at her watch. Her eyes almost bulged out of her head when she saw that it was already 5:50.

"Uhm, Akita.." She stated breathlessly, her fingers already growing clammy with perspiration, and her face paling. She pointed with mounting suspense at the letters of her digital watch. Akita looked equally surprised that it was time to meet their maker already, and undoubtedly, as both gracelessly wrenched out of their stools, Akita throwing down some money without even seeming to count it and Siren rooting around comically on the ground for Kai who had been upset from her lap when she suddenly jumped, the sole thing dominating their thoughts was Yuji's message:

"If one of you doesn't show up, even if God himself tells you not to come, the entire squad is getting punished!"

This certainly put a spring in the teenage girls' step, and setting off at a breakneck speed for the training grounds at a rate that would've impressed even their Sensei, the girls made their way toward their impending doom.

Akita was surprised when Siren had taken up her offer to go to dinner with her; it was pretty amazing how Siren even dared to approached her. The two walked down the street, ignoring the people who were quietly staring at them, the people who had always been so afraid of her. This made Akita smirk a bit as she continued talking with Siren, the only girl who had ever made her squirm since her time here. Not because of any stupid teenage rivalry either, it was because she dared to get close, to close for someone like Akita. She had built her walls for a reason, so that old wounds would not be uncovered, and this girl had reached out and attempted to break those walls.

And to be quite frank, it unnerved Akita a little bit. She didn’t want people to touch on wounds that she didn’t want touched. That were still sore, that still were fresh and bleeding. Akita didn’t want those wounds uncovered; those walls that she had made were like bandages. Poorly made bandages, and if anyone tried to break those walls it would be like ripping off the bandage to a bleeding wound but then she realized that the bandages she had put up were probably already
dirty and rotting.

These things raced through Akita’s head as she calmly chatted with Siren. Akita kept her childish
smile up as the two discussed their ever so ‘delightful’ sensei and before the two knew it they were at the ramen shop.

---

Akita sat staring at Siren who was scarfing down the ramen like it was her last meal, while Akita had barely started eating hers, "Siren-chan, do vou alwayz eat so.. so.. so vorociously?" Akita asked politely, but what she actually meant was, ‘Damn, is this your last meal or something? ‘

Siren released her death grip on the bowl and her face flushed once she took notice of how much she had eaten, "Well, considering that this is the only meal I'm actually allowed freedom on, even though I'm technically not supposed to, I usually go all out." She laughed, winking at her dirty little confession.

"He?" Akita asked curiously, she saw Siren tense up. Obviously this person was not someone she liked mentioning, for one reason or another. Akita was tempted to do a full-on investigation but before she could ask, “Ah... my caregiver." She offered.

Akita examined the Siren for a minute, “I zee, vell I guess zat iz ze good zing about a person like me. I have no caregiver to tell me vat to do. I just do vat ever ze hell I vant and the village pays for it!” Akita smiled trying to offer Siren a little bit of comfort trying to assure her that she would respect her privacy but then Akita drifted away from the topic of family, it seemed to be an uncomfortable topic for the both of them.

"Even still, I vouldn't advise stuffing yourself like zat, Siren-chan. Have vou never trainzed formally before? It iz not vise to have a hearty supper before vou exert your body to exhaustion, zat is something even ve pre-graduates learned in ze Ninja Academy. Ask Iruka-Sensei, or any of
ze other teachers. Our Zenzei probably just wanted to see you puke your guts up right on ze field."

This made Siren stop mid-chew, and wrinkle up her face in irritation.

"Ugh, that pig." She muttered. Akita took a bite out of her ramen and watched Siren wrinkle her face in disgust, "At any rate, I won't vomit.

Akita then watched Siren’s eyes dart to the clock and her face paled, "Uhm, Akita.." She stated breathlessly, her fingers already growing clammy with perspiration, and her face paling.

Akita, who had managed to sprint in front of Siren yelled in a very comedic manner, “I KNEW I VOULD REGRET THIS!!”

Life as a ninja. Empty Gravity, youth, and new beginnings.

Post  AKnightShallCome Sun Mar 06, 2011 4:40 am

Yuji left the school, feeling like he had left a pretty good first impression on his new students. Once he got outside, he looked up to the sky to get a gauge on, roughly, what time it was. It seemed to be around four, so he would have a bit of time to himself before he needed to arrange things for his squad's first training exercise. So, what do do with this bit of extra time?

Yuji often found himself laying on the edge of the roof of the tallest building in the village, letting his feet dangle off of the side. That's where he was now, staring up at a beautiful cerulean sky with a couple of aloof clouds drifting along aimlessly. He crossed his arms behind his head, using them as a makeshift pillow. The breeze up here was cool. It felt amazing juxtaposed against the warmth of the summer day. He closed his eyes and, as the breeze subsided, let the sun warm his skin. That warmth made his mind wander back to his youth... and the warmth of Hana in his arms.

He slowly let his eyes open again, a deep sadness locked within his heart was starting to rattle it's cages. He couldn't let that happen, not now... there was time for those old sorrows later. He would have to distract himself, get back to the task at hand! Nothing like work to keep your mind at bay.

With that, he quickly sat up... a little... TOO quickly, and fell off of the building. A resounding "OHHHHHHHH SSSSHHHIIITTTT!" could be heard booming throughout the whole village followed quickly by a loud crash of breaking wood.

"Wow! Cool!" Were the next things he heard beyond the rush of wind past his plummeting ears. He opened is eyes and sat up, rubbing a sore head. He was greeted by young faces beaming with entertainment. The children were three in number, two boys and one girl. Strangely enough, each of the three were wearing goggles on their foreheads, like mock headbands. The first boy was a bit chubby and had thick, round glasses on. The girl had a very unusual hairdo like two orange pigtails standing erect, with a rosy blush on her cheeks. And lastly, the second boy had dark brown hair, was missing a tooth in his upper set of teeth, and was strangely enough wearing a blue scarf despite this summer heat. If Yuji recalled, wasn't this boy the Hokage's grandson?

Yuji got up and brushed himself off, almost seeming like the fall and crash through a cart did hardly anything to him. The girl inquired, "You're a Jounin aren't you? We can tell by the vest... are all you Jounin that tough!?" They seemed to look at his display of constitution with wide-eyed fascination. He smiled, "Nah, at least, not in THAT sense. Everyone is tough in one way or another tho..." His inspirational shpiel was interrupted by the sounds of an angry, alarmed man from inside the building. Yuji grinned and said, "Keep this between the four of us?" The kids nodded and Yuji continued, "Good, cause you better get outta here before you get in trouble!"

He chuckled and with that, he hauled ass down the road, taking back alleys to prevent himself from getting caught.

____________________

His running slowed down to a walk as he felt he was far enough away from the disaster to prevent himself from getting in trouble. As he walked down the street, he noticed two green people on a bridge. That was quite an unusual sight. But despite it's queerness, he sported a smile, knowing exactly who those people were, or at least, the bigger one.

As he grew closer, he faintly heard someone counting, "996... 997... 998... 999..." By this time, he grew within a comfortable enough distance to his friend to wave. His friend had taken notice and threw up a one-handed "thumbs up" in response. Yuji arrived within speaking distance just as the boy said, "1,000!" and stood up from his push-up position. The boy said, "There! One thousands push-ups! I knew I could do it! Now what will you have me do, Gai-sensei?"

The one called Gai chuckled and said, "It warms my heart to see that energetic passion of youth flowing like a powerful river from you Lee! For now, I would like you to meet my good friend Yujihiro Tumota, or as some like to call him, The Hidden Leaf Ogre"

The boy called Lee turned to him and gave him a respectable bow, "It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Yujihiro-sensei"

Yuji put up his hands with a chuckle, "Hey now, raise back up. I'm not your sensei, Gai is. You can call me Yuji, don't feel obliged to do all that formal crap toward me..."

The boy nodded after rising then looked back to Gai, "I would like to continue my training if you permit me to do so. What will you have me do?" Gai put his hands on his hips, "Well then Lee. Give me two hundred laps around the market district!"

Lee put his hand up in a clenched fist and said, "I will show you, this task you have given me will be nothing!" With that, he dashed off toward the market district, as Gai instructed. Gai then turned to Yuji and said, "Ah Lee, that burning passion in his eyes reminds me of myself when I was his age, doesn't he you Yuji?"

Yuji laughed, "Yes, I was thinking the same thing. Not to mention your funny green jumpsuit you guys wear!" They both laughed at that and Yuji continued after it subsided, "I was wondering if I might ask a favor of you and your squad Gai..."

Gai nodded and said, "Ask away, I'm all ears my friend."

Yuji elaborated, "You see, my new squad already has some issues in it. Particularly arrogance and a bitter argument from the get-go."

Gai interrupted nostalgically, looking to the sky, "Ah yes... youthful rivalry... under your wise training, I'm sure they will be as fearsome as the rivalry between myself and Kakashi!"

Yuji laughed, "Well, since they're on the same squad... I'm gonna try and prevent conflict to THAT epic of a degree. That's where you come in. Around 6:15 I would like you and your squad to show up, and our two squads spar with each other. Since your Genin are much more experienced than mine, I expect mine to lose and be taught a valuable lesson in humility. Hopefully shedding them of any arrogance and making them humble enough to put aside their differences..."

Gai smirked and said, "That is a wonderful idea Yuji! My squad and I will be honored to assist you. Perhaps after we can show them our power in a sparring match of our own?"

Yuji smirked, "I didn't know you were THAT much of a glutton for punishment Gai..." They both laughed in a delightful chorus.

__________________________________________

It was 5:59 and thusfar, only Kohana had arrived. He looked to his watch and then back to the path leading to the training grounds. He thought, "They're gonna be late... I hate to punish Kohana too for their lack of responsibility... but they have to develop that team mental..." He stopped that thought as he saw their two specs in the distance. He looked to his watch again and before he knew it, they had arrived with merely two seconds to spare.

He was a bit surprised, but didn't let it show. He grunted and said to the two girls who were catching their breath, "You barely made it in time... try to act more responsible next time..." He waited for them to get their breath back for a couple seconds, then said, "Your first task will be a sparring match against some fellow Genin from the village. I would advise limbering up and getting ready... in fifteen minutes they'll arrive..." Inside, he hated to match them up against such slim odds... but surely this would work, right?

Life as a ninja. Empty He's my kind of rain.

Siren darted tactfully around the slew of civilian shoppers and diners evacuating the bowels of the buildings corraling the little Town square where Siren and Akita had been residing for the past hour and a half, weaving her way impressively around a woman laden with shopping bags, dragging one tot by the hand while skillfully maneuvering a bulky baby stroller with the other, only to falter and nearly trip gracelessly over her own two feet when an unexpected kink was thrown into her thoughtless advance as a small boy, not quite toddler but not quite adolescent yet either raced recklessly in front of her cluelessly, in hot pursuit of a small fugitive canine.

As Siren skidded to a premature halt, her feet, clumsily grappling for steady ground carried her further than she intended to go, which was perfect reason for an instinctive upset of Siren's torso, as helplessly and comically, she flailed, struggling to control her movement. Meanwhile, Akita had continued running, and easily passed Siren up in her perturbed state, whereas Siren soon realized that her peer wouldn't be waiting around on her anytime soon. Refusing to be the absolute last Genin to show up for their first serious training session,

Siren, pumping her puny arms to gain momentum, rapidly picked up speed in an effort to catch up to Akita. The blonde didn't even acknowledge Siren as she finally caught up to her however, she was concentrating so fervently on her activity. Not wanting to be outdone, Siren, who had very limited knowledge of chakra, crudely located this Centrifugal force, and lightly tapped into it, borrowing from her internal store to propel herself on faster. By this point, in less than three minutes, the girls had managed to successfully rid themselves of the bothersome flow of people and animals crowding the town at this hour when people gathered to kick back or otherwise celebrate the end of another tiresome, grueling day at work or training together. The houses the girls passed were becoming further apart, and more often than not, some kind of produce of livestock greeted the girls, Oxen, Cows, and Equine mostly by sight, other animals, such as livestock and Pigs, by their pungent smell up to a half a mile before the girls even approached them. Siren wrinkled her nose in obvious disappreciation, but even this didn't slow her down, as she noticed with apathy that her body had broken into a sweat. Silky beads of it, conceived at her browline dripped down her face, smearing the mascara she had so carefully applied only hours earlier. Silently, she cursed, aware of this rancid stream worming its way down her neck, and finally channeling out onto her chest, flowing down into her cleavage. Akita, who was obviously better conditioned, ran effortlessly, not a sweatdrop in sight on her body.

Their run had finally seemingly tapered off, and now Akita and Siren, though still conscientious of their internal race with the clock, ran easier now, seemingly in tune with one another and with their environment. The steady pounding of their feet into the soft, malleable, still damp earth provided Siren with a sort of natural beat to move to. Though she favored the predictable, rhythmic acoustics of their feet, Siren cursed the humidity of the day which allowed her grimy host to continue coalescing on her skin rather than drying immediately up. It took only a milisecond of Siren absently glancing down at her feet to speculate just how much mud on the bottoms of her shoes she had accrued for her to nearly miss the creature darting swiftly past them. During the occurance, Siren was so stupefied by the boy's inhuman agility, and how he had so rapidly advanced on the duo, that they hadn't even seen him approaching, that all she could do was gape mindlessly at him, looking as if her mind had completely liquified on spot.

Though he at first appeared as nothing more than an insignificant flash of chartreuse, just as he was passing by Siren, his elbow clipped hers, that common gesture being enough to completely knock her off balance. But just seconds before she careened clumsily to the ground, crashing and burning pitifully into the mud before God and everyone else, Siren managed to catch sight of the boy's face. Coal colored eyes seared into her momentarily, evaluating her essence, her being indifferently, narrowed fiercely in determination. Siren's heart leapt, feeling as if were being electrocuted, fried alive, the beating of it felt so heightened. An intense, strong brow accented these lovely orbs, and his mouth was set as well, perfect, symmetrical lips puckered in grim concentration, so luscious, so confident, so kissable. His raven-colored hair was styled into a short bowl haircut, and as Siren took note of the bangs grazing the perspiration-laden lids of his eyes, she just wanted to take her hand and brush them back away from his--

"Oomph!" Siren did an impromptu faceplant into the wet earth, and found herself inhaling a greasy mouthful of mud. With a gag so loud and so wretched that even Akita, who moments before looked as if a freight train chugging down the dirt farm path couldn't deter her from her destination, stopped instantaneously, whirling around in alarm.

"Siven! Vhat are you doing?!" Akita pressed urgently, her eyes flickering in irritation after she had seen that Siren wasn't being murdered or undergoing any other sort of physical torment. Siren peeled her hands out of the mud, leaving behind two perfect indentations of her formerly clean hands. She attempted to speak, sputtered as she realized that her fatal impact had forced some of the mud down her throat, swallowed the gritty substance, and let the first thing fly out of her mouth that came to mind.

"W-who was that Akita?" She asked shakily, gesturing a muddy hand in the direction the boy had run. Akita followed her cue, only to observe that the area seperating the Kunoichi from the horizon was completely barren, seemingly empty for miles in every direction, and in fact was so unoccupied, it seemed as if the two girls were the only signs of life that had ever dared cross it.

"Look, Siren. Ve don't have time vor any halluzinations. Vecause of your dilly dallying, ve are going to be late, and Zenzei iz going to skin us alive!!!"

Siren only blinked dumbly at her, astonished that Akita had seemingly no recollection of the nimble boy who had brushed past them only seconds ago. Either Siren really was losing it, or Akita had been so wrapped up in getting to the training grounds on time, she had totally missed his presence. At any rate, Siren felt awkward about not only the seemingly pointless hold up, but also that she had tripped in response to seeing a boy run past, and consequently looked (and probably smelled) worse than the Swine they had freuently passed on their way here, thus violating her lord's most sacred rule: "Thou shalt not insult one's self, especially if part of that person's strategy is to attract promising male Ninja *Hint hint*, by appearing publicly unkempt. Siren knew that if he caught wind of this (which inevitably he would), she would be as good as fired from this mission. Siren sighed, struggling to shake off the shame and humiliation of this incident by immediately picking back up on her running, and this time concentrating so hard on the back of Akita's head, that soon after, a splitting headache had contributed to her list of woes.

Finally, with what couldn't have literally been more than a couple of seconds to spare, Siren and Akita were in the homestretch, sprinting the last couple of yards in leaps and bounds to arrive panting in front of a very disgruntled looking Yujihiro Sensei. The girls sheepishly eyed one another, each seemingly nonverbally volunteering the other to offer an excuse for their near tardiness. Siren, her hands covered with filth and nailbeds caked with dirt to the extent that she appeared as if she had just crawled out of the grave, her platinum hair a sweaty, matted tangled nest atop her head, gave Yuji her most attractive smile and chirped,

"We're here!"

Yuji hardly looked impressed at their narrow escaping of his wrath. He gave them a stern look, and grunted.

"You barely made it in time... Try to act more responsible next time." He lectured, to which Siren only rolled her eyes. She usually wasn't the type to speak out of turn, preferring to escape the attention of authority figures and therefore escape any suspicion that might arise, but she had simply been through TOO much today.

"We made it in time, did we not?" She snapped, turning away from her Sensei and storming over to Kohana's side, crossing her arms defiantly.

"So why are you acting like we decided to skip practice altogether? Isn't it enough that we showed up today?" Siren challenged, to which she soon wished that she hadn't. Yuji cast her a venomous look, effectively ignoring her sass for the time being, and instead turning his back to his squad, paced a couple of strides in that direction, and then turning back around again, swiveled to again unite with his squad in a few, choppy steps.

"Your first task will be a sparring match against some fellow Genin from the village. I would advise limbering up and getting ready... in fifteen minutes they'll arrive..."

Their Sensei replied instead, and with this, he plopped down upon the grass, the earth shuddering as his bottom made contact with it, signaling the end of this particular conversation. Motioning for Kohana to follow her, Siren headed toward the outskirts of the grassy expanse that had been cleared for the purpose of Squad training, delving into the depths of the infamous Konoha forest, holding back branches and briars every now and again for Kohana, who was humming in a very off-tune key to herself, biding her time until they were completely out of earshot. They hadn't traveled more than four hundred feet from the edge of the field until they had approached a creek, which fortunately for Siren, had swelled to near capacity with water from the recent bouts of rain. She knelt, and wordlessly dunked her entire head down into the stream, a shiver racking through her entire meager frame as the frigidity of the water hit her like a ton of bricks. Flipping her head back over and working quickly in order to wring out her hair before the freezing excesses could trickle down her back, she turned to face Kohana. The girl's big blue eyes sized her up incredulously.

"So you and Akita seemed awfully chummy upon your arrival." Kohana joked mischievously. Siren, allowing herself a little bit of lenience now that the majority of her hair was unsaturated, pulled a spare tank top out of her backpack, using it to quickly and efficiently further dry her damp hair.

"Oh save it, Kohana." She replied snarkily, her fingers moving in a frenzy, operating under the deception that they could somehow manage to dry and restyle her hair before these mystery Genin arrived. Noticing Siren's sheer distress, Kohana, without any further encouragement, removed Siren's trusty emergency makeup kit from the bowels of her backpack, crudely reapplying the makeup that had just been washed clean off her face.

"What were you guys doing that made you so late? From the looks of it, Akita pwned you in a free for all mud wrestling match." Kohana snickered, to which Siren only snatched the blush Kohana was applying a little too generously to her face out of her hand, shoving the container into the recesses of her kit. Instead, she pulled out a tube of mascara, which Kohana in turn took from her, and attempted to apply mascara.

"It was nothing at all like that." Siren hissed, debating on whether or not she should tell Kohana the truth. She decided to meet herself in the middle, and unveil half of what had happened. After at least three failed attempts by Kohana to apply mascara to her right eye, which had consequently led to accidental stabs, Siren confiscated the tube, not even bothering to return it to its proper placement, instead just shoving it down into her backpack.

"Look, what happened was that Miss Frigid and I ran into each other at the marketplace. She bumped into me, we were both feeling like shit after the 'encouraging' words of our 'dear' Sensei, and to make a long story short, she bought me dinner and we lost track of time. To make up for our screwup, we had to run about ten miles at breakneck speed to get here, and I tripped over a branch in the road. Get it? Got it? Good." Siren was talking so fast, that half of these words were either cut off, mispronounced, or lost in Kohana's translation of her confused jargon. But Kohana had caught enough to catch the gist of what she was saying, and to acknowledge this new understanding, she laughed heartily, appreciatively, as if that were Siren's very intention.

Siren, who was halfway back up the miniature hill leading to the training field already, having grabbed Kohana's hand purposefully without her noticing to drag the girl up with her (She would NOT be late again if it was the last thing she did!!!), suddenly turned around in exasperation. Kohana, forcing herself to gain control of her giggles, tried to explain herself between laughs, but eventually gave up, managing only a

"Did you hit your head on your way down to the ground, or are you smoking something you should be sharing, Siren, because that story.. Don't get me wrong, it's golden and all, but if you go around telling people that, in all honesty, they're going to think you're delusional, girl."

Siren responded by rolling her eyes in a highly dramatic, exaggerated fashion, not bothering to explain to Kohana the pain she had sensed in Akita's manner, the remorse, the disappointment and utter shame in the girl's usually icey, unrevealing eyes, just as she withheld the information about her discovery of the beautiful boy on the old farm road, and that being the reason for her tripping. Kohana would probably brush that off as a mistake on Siren's part too, but Siren didn't care at the moment, just as she didn't care about not being completely honest with her bestie.

"We really don't have time for this, Kohana. So just shut the hell up for a bit!" Siren ordered aggressively, picking up the pace, trudging up the remainder of the hill, struggling as Kohana let herself become deadweight, permitting Siren to drag her as she continued chortling uncontrollably.

"You heard what Sensei said! The new Genin will be here in fifteen minutes so we have to--"

"Siren! Kohana!" Came their Sensei's gruff voice from over the top of the hill, sounding anything but thrilled at the very mentioning of the two Kunoichis' names. It was Siren's turn to become deadweight as she froze, leaving it up to Kohana to carry the duo the rest of the way to the training grounds. Siren wore a very meek, ill-prepared look on her face as Kohana popped merrily up over the top of the hill, her bubbly personality shining through as she grinned zanily at their Sensei, eagerly bounding up to the small gathering that had accumulated since the girls' impromptu disappearance.

"Coming!" She called in a sing song voice as Siren followed weakly, her mouth and the top of her throat feeling as if it had just been stuffed to the brim with dry cotton, passively resisting as every now and again, she faltered, forcing Kohana to pick up her extra weight as the over-ecstatic girl trucked on towards the mass gathering of people, all looking at the both of them at once with mixed expressions of astonishment, irritation, and disgust. The new Genin had arrived, and standing right in front of her, not five feet away, clad in above all things spandex and leg warmers, stood the boy responsible for Siren's dishevelment. This fact combined with everything that had just happened to her was enough to send her into near cardiac arrest on spot.

Melancholy Memories

After some quick footwork the girls finally made it to the meeting spot with, quite literally, two seconds to spare. Their sensei looked at them with a look of disappointment and responded gruffly, "You barely made it in time... Try to act more responsible next time." Akita only responded with her usual childish, docile smile although this time it had a bit of a sadistic undertone to it.

"We made it in time, did we not?" Siren snapped, turning away from Yuji and storming over to Kohana's side, crossing her arms defiantly.

I would advise limbering up and getting ready... in fifteen minutes they'll arrive..." Yuji then plopped himself on the grass causing the ground to shake. Siren and Kohana then proceeded to head off in the opposite direction, which peaked Akita’s curiosity, she was curious about what her team mates were going to discuss.

Akita had no problem with spying on her team mates, she was somewhat eager to see if they would say anything about her. Akita was quite curious if any of it was nice. So she silently followed the girls down into the forest. The two girls had stopped at a creek and Siren was reapplying her skewed make-up which had been messed up on the way over here. Akita had hidden herself skillfully in some bushes.

From the looks of it, Akita pwned you in a free for all mud wrestling match." Kohana snickered.

"It was nothing at all like that." Siren hissed, "Look, what happened was that Miss Frigid and I ran into each other at the marketplace. She bumped into me, we were both feeling like shit after the 'encouraging' words of our 'dear' Sensei, and to make a long story short, she bought me dinner and we lost track of time. To make up for our screw up, we had to run about ten miles at breakneck speed to get here, and I tripped over a branch in the road. Get it? Got it? Good."

Nothing of interest for Akita to tune in to so she made her way stealthily back to the building, brushing any leaves that may have gotten on her dress on the way out. From what Akita heard in their voices she was the outcast once again, or that’s how she perceived it anyway. It didn’t make much difference to her whether or not her team mates liked her or not. Still, a strange feeling had slithered its way into her chest and Akita couldn’t quite distinguish the feeling. The only think Akita could figure out about it was that it was uncomfortable.

Akita let out a loud sigh and sat on the grass, she could smell the flowers that had started to bloom in the distance. Akita then looked down at the blades of grass that were a light shade of green and found a tiny ladybug enjoying the sun’s warmth on one of the blades. She gently picked the small beetle up; it still refrained from moving, like it was too busy enjoying the suns warmth to worry about her.

This village was so full of life, almost to the point where it sickened Akita. How could this place, be allowed to be so full of warmth and life? The very place that slaughtered her home, her parents, all her friends, why was it allowed to be happy?

Akita then watched the tiny bug begin to stir on her hand, after a moment of examining her hand with its feelers it spread its wings and flew off into the distance leaving Akita alone. Akita closed her eyes and let a brisk wind whip through her hair and she had begun recalling a memory.

“Neh, neh, Onee-chan, we need to grow a sunflower garden one day!” The tiny, happy voice said to her, Akita could feel tiny hands grabbing onto her hand and tugging at her.

“Sunflowers? It’s too cold here for them! You couldn’t grow them if you tried, Imouto-chan.” Her voice rang out and then she heard the sound of sobbing.

“But..but..I want to grow sunflowers...” The child’s voice rang out between sobs, Akita let out a sigh and gave the child a pat on the head.

“I’ll tell you what, when we get bigger let’s move somewhere warm and have a whole garden of sunflowers!” Akita’s voice chimed out happily, and the child began to laugh.

“Let’s not forget all the other pretty flowers too! We could run a flower shop! It will be so fun!” The small child laughed.

Akita’s eyes shot open, how long had she been daydreaming? Hopefully it hadn’t been too long. Akita stood up and rushed towards the building. Kohana and Siren were already standing in front of their sensei.

Three different Genin stood behind him, two boys, one girl, and their sensei in a green spandex suit. Akita’s face wrinkled in disgust and she nearly gagged when he saw that one of his students had copied his apparent fashion sense, right down to the hair style.

And what the fuck was up with the eyebrows?

The other boy was calm, cool and collected. He had long, dark brown hair that had been pulled back in a ponytail. Akita examined him and the most notable feature was his eyes. They were a silvery-white color and they were looking off in to the distance as if he had no desire to be here what so ever, in contrast to the one with the horrible fashion sense who was excited as a chipmunk on crack.

Akita would not have recognized those eyes if it not had been for her foster father teaching her everything to know about the two clan’s that had a special bloodline jutsue.

The Uchiha, which held the Sharingan, and then the Hyuuga, which held the Byakugan. Akita wasn’t quite sure what the Byakugan DID though, all her foster father told her is that it enabled the user to see chakra points which didn’t seem very useful in the least bit.

Akita’s eyes drifted to the girl in the middle, who wasn’t notable in anyway, instead of examining the female shinobi her eyes drifted to her team mates, Kohana was eager to start sparring, and Siren seemed to be….

Akita’s eyes nose wrinkled in disgust…

She was checking Mr. What-the-fuck-is-up-with-my-eye-brows out. Akita looked at Siren and blurted out, “Vour taste in men confuzez me, Ziren.”

“Ahem, if you all are quite through being idiots, then let’s begin, shall we? I’m hoping giving you 3 a beat down will teach you a lesson in humility because you all are too arrogant.” Yuji-sensei said.
