Pokemon X and Y Yveltal_and_xerneas_by_finiens-d68a5j5

Every act of creation is first an act of destruction. --Pablo Picasso

Long, long ago, before the era of peace we know today, the Kalos region was at war with itself. It was a atrocious and bloody war and the cause of the war itself has been lost to time, but it was said two pokemon fought on either side the war. The Pokemon Xerneas fought again Yveltal in the bloody war and drove the region to destruction again and again with their powers. Every life Yveltal stole Xerneas brought back and every life that was brought back would only be stolen again by Yveltal's destructive power.

Arceus tired of the destruction the two pokemon caused finally charged Zygarde with bringing order to the Kalos region saying that, "There must be order within the cycle of creation and destruction or chaos will reign".

And so a fine balance was achieved and the three pokemon took to an eternal sleep, but it was not without a cost. The lives of many innocent humans and pokemon were lost including the King of Kalos partner... a young pokemon who died fighting for peace. The King of Kalos driven mad with grief then built a weapon to bring his partner back by harvesting the energies of other pokemon...

The Pokemon was brought back, but the King wanted vengence so he turned the device into a weapon and brought the region to ruin once again.

Not much else is known beyond that. It is a story that was handed down verbally through the ages... No one really knows what became of the king or his pokemon... or even the weapon that was used to bring such destruction to the Kalos region. In some variations of the story it's rumored that the weapon still exists within the Kalos region today... waiting for some unsuspecting person to harness it's power and drive the world to destruction again. No one really knows what happened to the legendary pokemon either. Only that the time would come when they would wake again and Arceus help us all when that happens.

Dear [ Your name here],

I have a favor to ask. I know it's a bit sudden, but could you meet me in my lab in Lumiose City? I know it's a bit of a travel, but I've asked one of my assistants, a girl by the name of Michiko, to give you something special for your work should you choose to accept this task. Meet her in Aquacorde Town on the 15th at 10am if you are willing to accept this favor.

Pokemon X and Y Sadakofull665193_zpsdb55b1bb
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

Name: Lucille "Lucy" Olivie Leblanc

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Personality:

Lucy isn't exactly what one would consider the "sociable" type. Her motto in life is "if you don't have anything interesting to add to the conversation don't add anything at all" and most of the time she feels she doesn't really have anything interesting to say so she refrains from speaking. Don't mistake her silence for shyness though. Lucy is anything but shy as there is a fair amount of sass and intellect should she choose to speak. Lucy is known for sassing people who underestimate her and is actually known to be quite abbrasive towards people. This is actually a well constructed mask on her part to avoid getting close with people. She doesn't like befriending people because of terrible experiences in the past  when trying to befriend people. She's extremely distrusting and dislikes people probing her or analyzing her and so she does her best to keep people at arm's length.

Hurt them before they hurt you is the best way to describe her motto when dealing with people, but underneath this cleaverly constructed mask is a girl who's terribly lonely. In a way she's stuck in a sort of Catch-22 situation. She wants to befriend people, but that means taking down her walls and reaching out to people which she doesn't necessarily want to do. The only loophole to this is befriending Pokemon which she's quite good at. Lucy is inherently empathetic to pokemon by nature and will go out of her way to help injured wild Pokemon and even befriend them. Still, Lucy considers herself a loyal friend to the few human friends she does have. She has a tendency to put the needs of her friends before other's and this self-sacrifical nature can end up getting her in trouble.

Lucy is also quite the intellectual and boasts strengths in Math and Science and has a love for pokemon mythology. One way to get her talking is to ask her about the mythology of Kalos to which she can recite the legend of Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zygarde by heart.

History:

Lucy was quite lucky to be born to an upper middle class family in the Kalos region. Her mother a hard working business woman made good money selling real estate and her father a kindly family man. her existence was quite the surprise to her parents who were shocked to find out that they were have a pair of fraternal twin girls instead of only one little one! Unfortunately, Lucy was the weaker of the two and experienced some serious complications as a baby. She was underweight and in ill health so her parents had a tendency to baby and be very overprotective of Lucy as a child.

Lucy didn't let her fraility stop her from doing the things she wanted to do though. Since she was disallowed from going outside and playing with other children she found company in books and when she could finally read without the help of her father. Unfortunately, Lucy's problems didn't stop at her frail health. When she was about 5 was when she had her first "episode" in the middle of a large convience store. It happened when someone knocked over a bird cage and startled a flock of tailow that were being sold in the store. Lucy began to claim that she could "feel" the Tailow's fear and that the feeling was overwhelming and terrifying. It sent her into a full blown anxiety attack the terrified Lucy made a scene in the middle of the store causing her father to panic.

They took Lucy to doctor after doctor to try and find a diagnoses and most doctors settled on the fact that due to improper socialization as a child Lucille had developed severe social anxiety along with a mild form of schizophrenia. They prescriped her medicine and therapy, but it was then that her mother revealed that many of the women on her side of the family were "empaths". They had the ability to read and feel the energies of living beings and that she was one herself. It was from then on that Lucy's abilities became a well kept secret within the family. Lucy was barred from socializing with other children as a result of the inability to control her powers and unfortunately this meant that her sister, Blair, was also a victim of the isolation despite having shown no such abilities.

Lucy did her best to try and learn to block out the feelings of Pokemon and was actually able to block everything out for a time... that was until she started school. Lucy was ill prepared for the socialization that came along with schooling and was unable to block other people's energies out. Her ability to sense people's energies led to people misunderstanding and calling her the "class witch" which further isolated her from her peers.

Things didn't look any better at home because as Lucy got older it became harder and harder to conceal her powers. Eventually their mother had to quit her job and start working from home as rumors began to spread about the woman with the "demon child". The constant stress soon took it's toll on their parents marriage and they soon divorced, with Lucy choosing to go with their mother whom she felt she had a stronger connection with.

Her relationship with her twin didn't necessarily start out antagonistic, but built up resentments ignited one day after Lucy was accused of cursing one of Blair's friends. The two had an intense falling out and haven't spoken with each other since and it has been since then that Lucille has been unable to trust people. If she could not trust her own twin sister than who could she trust?

Shortly after the falling out the Lucille and her mother went back to Lavernne town where Lucille's mother made a modest living as a psychic. They stayed there for a good deal of years until she received a letter from her mother's family friend: Professor Sycamore, who invited her to help him with some research. Lucille's mother thought this would be an excellent opportunity for Lucille to gain some life experience and maybe even a chance for her to reconcile with Blair and so she immediately set off to Courriway town with her daughter in tow.

Extra: Lucy is an "empath" which basically means she has the abilitiy to read the energies of people and pokemon. Because of this she is excellent at reading the hearts of people and pokemon alike and can always tell when someone is lying.

Starter: Fennekin, yo.

Pokemon X and Y Empty Bid my blood to run, before I come undone.

Post  Umbreongirl Mon May 12, 2014 4:24 am

Pokemon X and Y Anime-Girl-Short-Hair-485x728
Name: Blair Evelyn Hemlock
Gender: Female
Age: 15

Personality: A girl with a practical mind, on the surface, Blair tends to be cool and collected. Not much appears to phase her, and she approaches nearly every emotional situation in an identical way: with very little reaction. Blair's ability to appear calm in a multitude of settings is a marvel to some and downright eery to others. Like-minded individuals aspire to attain Blair's level of neutrality and emotional control while more bubbly extroverts whisper cruel remarks about her emotional disengagement. When faced with unpleasant or uncomfortable experiences, Blair's coping mechanism is to seal off all of her true emotion into the dark recesses of her mind in order to approach the situation in a rational manner. This coping mechanism is most likely an automatic response to the constant isolation that Blair experiences as a child and as an adolescent. Her thoughts, emotions, and desires often went unspoken, and if they were able to somehow escape the sealed confines of her lips, they were often pushed away by her parents, who were more concerned about what her sister, Lucy, thought, felt, and wanted. Deep down, Blair harbors deep, boiling resentment for her parents and their unhealthy governance over her sister's life. She feels bitter that her sister was blessed with a sacred giftedness from Arceus that allowed her sister to better connect emotionally with their mother and sorrow that she will never understand Pokemon on as deep of a level as her sister. She feels ordinary, save for her unusual isolation from her peers, and suspects that her parents' love was greater for her sister because of her sister's supernatural abilities. Blair feels insecure that her sister is more emotionally connected to the world around them than she is, and fears that she has no unique talents or aptitudes to contribute to the world. What Blair doesn't realize is that she harbors a brazen sense of bravery that she hasn't yet had to summon, and that her courageous, indomitable spirit is evident in the thousands of small sacrifices that she makes for the good of her father daily. While Blair has mastered putting on a calm, unshakable mask for unpleasant and uncomfortable emotional situations, when she experiences an injustice occurring or an extreme emotional trauma that triggers memories of her painful past, the mask shatters and she morphs into a volatile, wrathful creature with a thirst for swift and merciless vengeance.

History: Blair was born as the older of a set of fraternal twins to two eager first time parents. Blair was the child who had been planned, the one who had been expected. Her parents had had every intention of showering their eagerly anticipated baby girl with love and adoration. All of that changed whenever they discovered their second daughter, Lucy. While Blair was born the perfect shade of flushed pink and had screamed vigorously, seizing life from her first moment of arrival, when Lucy was born, she was several pounds smaller and her skin was an ashen shade of gray. Lucy had not properly developed in the womb, and when she arrived into the world, she uttered not even a piteous whimper. Doctors told the mortified young parents that Lucy, their surprise miracle baby, would likely perish there in the hospital. Thus began the twins' parents' determination to pull Lucy through. As the girls grew, Blair flourished physically and grew strong and independent. Lucy remained weak and experienced multiple delays in her physical development, despite strategic diet planning and a cocktail of medications to boost her growth. Because of Lucy's abnormalities and extreme setbacks, the twins' parents focused the majority of their time and energy on making her well while Blair's budding development only served to remind them what their other daughter was not capable of accomplishing. Blair quickly learned that Lucy was the center of their household, and that she would have to be the only one to recognize and affirm her own accomplishments. Whenever Lucy's strange empathetic powers towards people and Pokemon began to emerge, Blair was simultaneously frightened and envious. If their parents were diligent about Lucy's well-being before, they were obsessed with it now that their daughter was exhibiting signs of possessing a rare psychic disposition. Blair could not imagine trying to contain so many others' raw, powerful emotions in her own mind, but on the other hand, would have given anything to be able to relate to Pokemon in the way that her sister did. As the girls grew and Lucy's powers became more acute, a wedge was driven between the girls' parents. People's awareness of Lucy's abilities forced the family to isolate themselves and hide their daughters for fear of something unspeakable happening to Lucy, and a lack of being able to work consistently meant that Blair's family was in dire financial straits. Their parents were arguing more, terrified that their picture perfect life was falling apart and they couldn't find a way to protect their daughter. When Blair's mother finally filed for divorce, leaving their father to relocate to a small town, Lucy, who had always resembled her mother in more ways than one, chose to leave as well. Blair was left to take care of her father, who turned to alcoholism to cope with the pain of losing the two loves of his life. While he was never physically or verbally abusive towards Blair when he drank, he would drink himself into numbness, becoming distant, vacant, struggling immensely to shut down all of the raw pain he felt. He was asleep most of the time, and when conscious, would stare blankly in the same direction for hours, his mind obviously tormented. Blair did not know what had become of her sister and mother, and was too angry to care. With Lucy gone and her father apathetic about her presence, Blair began to work with Pokemon with behavioral issues for experiences and inexperienced trainers alike to earn money to pay her and her father's bills. She found solace in working with creatures that everybody else had given up on. One day as Blair walked sullenly down an overgrown path in the forest surrounding her home, infuriated at her father's unending self-pity, she came across a tall, feline-like creature sitting on a rock hunched over, as if in deep thought. Intrigued, Blair approached the creature only to be met by a fierce, slicing pain that permeated across her head. The foreign Pokemon was emitting a relentless psychic energy to keep her away. But Blair was no stranger to troubled and anguished souls, for she herself was one, and was eventually able to reach the creature and quell his fury. And so began an unlikely, complex friendship between an isolated and neglected teenage girl and a misunderstood Pokemon whom nature never intended to exist. Mewtwo is special to Blair, and she feels a deeper connection with him than she has ever felt with her father, mother, or sister. She reveres him more than the family that shares her blood. Mewtwo appears to Blair from time to time, and their relationship is one of mutual need: they both frequently need the other to soothe their seething, bruised souls.

Blair recently received a letter from Professor Sycamore bidding her to assist with some research. Blair found this puzzling, and extremely ironic, since Professor Sycamore was her mother's old friend and she hadn't seen her mother in years. Still, Blair figures that accepting this quest has to be better than hanging around and doting on her father who isn't even aware of her presence, and so she has set off solo towards Aquacorde town to carve out her destiny.

Pokemon X and Y Empty Re: Pokemon X and Y

Post  TheAlmightyGhostPrincess Thu May 29, 2014 11:45 pm

There was always something haunting about Lucy's dreams. She always felt a sense of panic overtake her when she peered into the seering darkness ahead of her. It was usually always the same thing that haunted her dreams...

There again she was standing in front of her old childhood home, her bags in hand and she's ready to go. Her mother is beckoning her to hurry up and Lucy turns back to Blair.

She can feel it. She can just feel her twin sisters disdain for her, and it hurts.

“Blair, I...” Lucy tries to explain, but in the dream it only serves to make things worse. Lucy can feel her sisters anger towards her. Blair doesn't want excuses, she wants someone to blame, and why not blame Lucy?

The dream Blair mouths something to her, there are no words, but Lucy can guess what her thoughts are. Blair doesn't need communicate with words, Lucy can feel how much Blair loathes her. Lucy can only guess why... and it hurts. She didn't want her empath powers and she certainly didn't ask for them. She didn't ask to be born weak and frail... She didn't even ask to be born.

There are no words to say to Blair so Lucy silently Lucy gets into the car and watches her twins visage disappear into the hazy darkness although she could still feel Blair's anger... her rage...

And then her eyes flutter open and she sits up in bed and yawns. The smell of bacon and eggs tantalized her senses and Lucy groggily got out of bed. She casts a passing glance to the mirror, her raven black hair is a complete mess and it will be a pain to brush out, but... Food!

“Good morning...” Lucy mutters as she trudges down the stairs and sees her mother cooking up a rather delicious looking breakfast.

“Ah, good morning, Lucille,” Her mother flashes her a golden smile, “I took the morning off so I could see you off!” Her mother hummed placing a plate of freshly cooked bacon down in front of her as Lucy sat down at the kitchen table. Lucy's mother was a lively woman who often worked odd hours so Lucy rarely got to see her on the weekdays. Lucy knew her mother was kind, but there had been stories about her ruthless business advents in the past. There was no doubt that Anya was an ambitious woman.

“Espe...” An Espeon yawned and rubbed against Lucille's legs trying to subtly hint to give her some food. Lucille sighed and handed the Espeon a few crisps of bacon and then began to reluctantly eat. She wasn't sure if she would be able to keep anything down. Her stomach was in knots.

She was leaving the comforts of home to go on a journey. This meant interacting with people and while she had gotten better at blocking people's emotions from constantly flowing into her she wasn't sure if she could handle being in a larger city like Lumiose. Well, you never know unless you try right?

Her resolve steeled she finished her breakfast, showered, and put on the most comfortable, travel-friendly clothes she could find.

“Let's see... I've got a couple of Pokeballs... some potions... a change of clothes...” Lucy was making sure everything was together when her mother came in. Her once happy face was replaced by a look of worry, “Something wrong, mom?”

“That... That was your father,” Anya murmured.

A slight gasp escaped Lucille's lips as Anya continued, “He said something about Blair leaving on a journey today as well. He was slurring his words so I couldn't understand him really but... I thought you should be aware of this before you leave.”

Any type of resolve Lucille had instantly crumbled. She would have to see her sister? It should have been a happy occasion but... Lucy was more apprehensive than happy. She knew Blair loathed her and blamed her. Even if she didn't have empath abilities it was plain as day.

“Will you be alright?” Anya asked, a thin frown tugging at her lips. Anya had tried to keep contact with her other daughter, but divorce was messy and unfortunately their relationship had suffered because of it.

“I...No, I will be fine, mom. I'm not the same frail, little child that you need constantly protect,” Lucille reassured her mother and slung her bag over her back, “I'm not going to let my fear of facing Blair let me from going on this journey.”

Anya smiled at her daughter, “I'm sure you will be. Now get on your way! Aquacorde Town is a bit of a journey!”

Lucille smiled at her mother, “Yeah.”

But could she really do this?

------

After a rather significant hike Lucy finally made it to Aquacorde Town, by that time the sun was high in the sky and her legs were sore as hell. Who knew Lumiose City would be so busy? Ugh, her head hurt.

“Ah!” A woman gestured to her. She was dressed in a researchers uniform and her hair was styled into a bob cut. It suited her quite well, “You must be Lucille. I've got the starters right here. Unfortunately because you had a bit of journey the other two are already gone... but you are free to take the one that is left.”

Her hopes dropped a little bit until she saw the sticker on the Pokeball, “No, this is the one that I wanted don't worry.”

“That's good!” Michiko smiled and handed her the Pokeball, “Also, here's a Pokedex. The Professor asked me to give this to you so you could fill out pages in it. Good luck!”

So this was it? She had her Pokemon! A sudden burst of excitement sudden surged through Lucille. She had a Pokemon. Her own Pokemon.

Somehow, Lucy didn't care about running into Blair anymore. She had her own Pokemon!

“Hehehe,” She stared at the Pokeball, “You and I are going to be great friends, little guy!”
